Forest Pines is a great school. We have been here for over 7 years and have had a great experience. The teachers and staff are wonderful and the PTA and school community make the school a fun place for families.

Both of my children attend Forest Pines Drive and we LOVE the school. My child SOBBED the last day of school before winter break because they did not want to leave school for two weeks. They are thriving academically, socially and emotionally. We love participating in their Family Engagement events like Cultural Appreciation Night, Literacy Nights and PTA events like Family Movie Nights. Teachers are extremely qualified and teach to the students' needs. Administration is incredibly supportive and responsible to their staff, students and parents. Any issues our family has had over the 4 years we've been in attendance have been handled promptly and thoroughly. We are so happy we enrolled at our public base school!

This was our first year at Forest pines drive elementary. And I can honestly say my daughter has flourished. Everyone from the front office, to her teacher, support staff and even the custodians genuinely care about these children and engage with the parents. I highly recommend if you live in this area that you would be blessed with being able to be zoned for the school.

I'm surprised to see the recent negative review. I've had children here since 2010 - one is currently in middle school but went through K-5 at Forest Pines, and two others are currently at FPDE. We have never had a bad teacher, and have had several who were truly excellent. I am particularly grateful to my son's kindergarten teacher last year, who helped a very anxious child feel comfortable enough to not only succeed academically but also socially. I don't think the homework load is too much, for which I'm thankful as they don't get home until almost 5 p.m. (long bus ride) and yet they're still learning. This is my 7th year with kids there and I've only had a communication with one teacher, throughout that whole time. Otherwise, very responsive. I voted "neutral" on the bullying issue only because we haven't had any issues, so can't speak one way or the other. Although perhaps not having any issues is in itself a positive.

We have been at Forest Pines since 2015, and unlike most of the reviews, I don't believe this school really helps students compete with other States for college bound success. Its sad really. I literally have to re-teach my kids as soon as they get home. It has me seriously thinking about homeschooling, which is a travesty because kids need other kids for more than just text book learning.

We have been at Forest Pines since 2008 and we have had a marvelous experience. Other than teachers moving on, we have felt encouraged to learn and felt supported when we were falling behind.

I have two children at Forest Pines and have been very satisfied with the school and the teachers. The 'specials' rotation is great - extra sessions with art, music, Spanish, technology, library, etc. The teachers have been very responsive and approachable. My kids have really enjoyed it,and I also feel like they're getting solid instruction. I do wish they had better support with teachers' aides, but in this economy I can understand how that's not top priority. I think that the administration also does a good job keeping parents informed about upcoming deadlines and activities.

Tremendous school...teachers and administration!!! We moved our child from a nearby private school to Forest Pines because our child and we were so unhappy with the private school. Since being in Forest Pines, he has completely turned around and is now thriving. We owe this to the positive, competent, and caring environment in this school. We strongly recommend Forest Pines!

We have been very pleased with Forest Pines Drive Elementary. Our son had a great start in kindergarten and has continued to flourish since entering 1st grade. He has also built great friendships thus far!
