My son goes to this school and it's a great school with good teachers.

It’s a shame; if not for the horrible administration here, this school would rate10/10. The teachers are great, special education program is wonderful, and my son has thrived here. Bit the way the administration operates is terrible, disorganized, disrespectful, and makes things unnecessarily difficult on parents. If I treated my patients this way; I’d be fired. Do better.

As a teacher, our staff is devoted to giving students the best possible education. After COVID, our school got a lot of recognition for showing growth in our scores after the pandemic. Our academics are continuing to grow through our NWEA benchmarks and we are excited to see how much more we can push our students to be the best they can be!

My step daughter goes here and there is very little communication to my husband about his daughter even though they know he has 50/50 legal and physical custody. The teachers don’t do much on handling kids when it comes to them bullying other kids or hitting. My step daughter has had nothing but learning issues from day one after Covid. She got little help from her teacher and her teacher did little communication as well to my husband. The principle lacks interest in the kids and is hard to get emails replied to. I would not recommend this school.

So many great teachers and kids. Lots of programs that support different interests of all the kids. (Tutoring, FastForword, Dancing Feet, Environmental Club, Robotics, Student Council, PALs, Westside Writing, Talent Show, Band, etc.) Positive and safe environment. Teachers work together to improve lives and education of all the students. A family atmosphere. Constant communication between parents and teachers. Forward thinking on improving curriculum and implementing Common Core. Both staff and students like to come to school because they enjoy learning.

I love this school. Teacher involvement has been wonderful. They encourage parents to get involved and the teachers make themselves available to discuss your child's progress. As with most things in life, you have to put work in to get the results that you want. All of the tools are there, Power Schools, Email communication and outgoing staff to allow for your child to have a great experience. Parents, USE PowerSchool to check on your child weekly, email your teachers. Our teacher sends home behavior cards daily to let us know how our son is doing. It s up to me to check his grades and ask her what he needs. As soon as I showed initiative she gladly communicated how I could help my son. If you are a pro-active parent this school with allow your child to excel.

I think that the principle is considerate of the parents concerns. I think that the staff is incredible they are patient and knowledgeable. I am not happy with the communication between parents and teachers. My child has been in fights he has been misbehaving in class and I never received any calls or emails about it, when i see her everyday she acted like there was nothing wrong. The teacher that my son has says that she does not want to give consequences to my child's actions because she does not like to be the "MEAN GUY" and now that she has realized that he has gotten out of control she wants me to fix the problem that she created. Maybe I got a BAD teacher for our 1st year at this school but I think that the communications between the parents and teacher should be more prevalent in the way the school is run, so that there are optimum results in children's academics.
