The Rectory School genuinely changed my life. When I arrived in 7th grade as a midyear transfer, I was not in a good place with my academics because of the pandemic, and Rectory changed that around. The adults care so much about students and always look out for you. In a community as small as Rectory, you get to know almost everyone and feel very connected to the community. The academics are good, but the academic support program is amazing. I was able to improve my study skills, enhance my math proficiency, and start to enjoy learning. Rectory offers a great balance between academics and sports, along with a fantastic residential life program. After graduating in the class of 2023, I continued on to a great secondary school and will always be grateful that I found Rectory.

The campus is beautiful and the facilities are very good. The atmosphere of respect and nurturing is positive. Every teacher wasn't great, but many were. A fairly large number of international students, plus local day students and domestic boarders makes for an interesting and diverse student body. My daughter has moved on to a very rigorous high school, and her preperation at Rectory was excellent. She stays in touch with several of her teachers and visits often when she can. What better recommendation is there than that. A wonderful place to spend ten years - she started in kndergarten.

Rectory is a very good school. The teachers are great. The academics are just above grade level-- not quite as advanced as one might expect, and there are a few students there who would be better served at a school designed for children with behavioral issues. It is possible to provide individual attention and address varying learning styles (which they do well!!) without enrolling those students whose negative behaviors affect the quality of the experience of other students. The positives , and there are many! -are that the school leadership is responsive , and the staff work hard to teach to each student's strengths while helping the student grow and learn. It's a great community. The students could benefit from more project-based learning and collaborative work. There is a nice balance of American boarding, International, and local students to broaden students' horizons.

Caring faculty and top notch education. Can't think of a better school to send my children to.

The Rectory School provided a great start for all three of my boys. Each on of my boys got exactly what they needed and each boy needed something different. Because of the small class size, high teacher to student ratio, and quality of people at the school each one of my boys got individual attention to their specific needs. Each one of my boys went on to be successful in high school and are now in great colleges with terrific study skills and a great outlook on their future.

The Rectory School experience is like no other. My son learned how to learn, write, lead, and contribute, and also found his passion. He was surrounded by boys and girls from all over the world. He is truly prepared for the next step in his educational journey.

Rectory is a place that students can do it all. Be an athlete, be involved in the arts and be a strong student. Middle School should be all about exploring, trying new things and making long lasting friendships and Rectory School allows for this to happen every day!

if your child has a mind of their own, don't send them here. the community is toxic, and if you knew about all the skeletons in their closet you wouldn't want your child to go to Rectory. (i'd like to make it clear that i'm not making allegations of criminal conduct, i'm merely suggesting that rectory has problems, and most of them are quickly swept under the rug.) teachers are okay for the most part, with some really terrible and one or two great ones. the students for the most part are a&f wearing drones, with a few individuals who are quickly excluded and bullied. rectory doesn't tolerate physical bullying, but psychological warfare is a-okay. personally, up until fifth grade everything was fine and dandy. i would highly recommend the elementary school, but not the middle school. if you're looking to board your child here, i'd suggest one of the other schools around. their slogan "our student's love it here" should be changed to "our students used to love it here" since rectory has changed from a nurturing community into something akin to a prison. best wishes ! c:

My son attended Rectory school for 2 years. He was a boarding student in 8th and 9th grade. He was so happy! The teachers are amazing, they have a GREAT football program, they where undefeated champions for those 2 years in a row. They offer academic support and 1 to 1 tutoring for students who struggle academically. There is a large international population of students which make everything so diverse and fun! We recommend it a lot! A GREAT SCHOOL!!!!
