I loved my time at PCS. I was able to go into high school fully prepared, and felt that my time here prepared me for life outside of the classroom as well.

Outstanding, first as a parent of three children, and then as a grandparent of two of their children.

Since this school serves grades K-8, this is a commodity for those who have siblings. Some educators and caretakers have 20+ years experience at PCS. Safe and sound learning environment. Communication with staff is great, email responses in less than 24 hours. Parent involvement in school activities is highly encouraged and offered. Small class sizes, (12 children per teacher in K, 1st).. Highly recommend this learning facility :)

This is a tight knit community in many ways. Children who do well academically will find a good fit here. My son had an unfortunate time at this school: his academic needs were not met, and I eventually had to get a lawyer. Some members of the Board of Education have been serving for long periods and are deeply entrenched in the community. This may at times cause a conflict of interest.

Although PCS is a smaller school that lacks diversity, I was extremely prepared for high school at Woodstock Academy. Studies show that students from Pomfret on average do better on state tests than other Woodstock Academy sending towns and it's because of the work ethic that's instilled in PCS students from a young age. Now, of course there were a few isolated incidents of not so great teachers, but I think you'll find that at almost any school. If you're looking for a strong community environment and sound education, this is a great school.

This is a wonderful school with dedicated teachers and staff. Community is an excellent word to be included in the name of the school because that is what it is: a community of educators and learners working together to provide a valuable experience in learning and life.

This school is terrible, i would be ashamed if my kids went there, never go here.
