Classrooms are very nicely set up, big and spacious for kids. Family engagement nights are so fun!!! My kids love them, we have not missed a family night yet. Teachers advocate for kids and they are always available thru email or remind app.

Maryland is a wonderful school full of passionate teachers and surrounded by a warm community. It has many opportunities for students through clubs, sports and before/after school activities. Overall a great school to send your child!

The worst school. Worst communication & not to mention the girl at the front desk maria is extremely rude & unprofessional. Want a safe school? This isn't it.

It's unfortunate that in just a few weeks of having our kids start our neighborhood school, that my family has to start looking for other options such as Alhambra Charter School just down the road. The zero tolerance bullying policy truly doesn't exist and guards are forced into the classrooms to assist teachers with order. Kids, that repeatedly impeded progress and learning, that go to the principals office, are allowed to continue. Worst of all, repeated bullying including shoving kids to the ground and threats of fighting don't warrant action, just phone calls from social workers. I hope to update this post but I'm afraid our attempts to work with the administration is falling on helpless ears. Pictures of the latest action of a bully after throwing my kid to the ground.

This school is 100% free and reduced lunch. Many students came as refugees from war torn countries with little or no English. Such a challenge! The school atmosphere is a safe one and the students are able to move on to A+ rated high school after leaving Maryland Elementary School. Most of the schools teachers are new this year with a new, but experienced administrator. I see good things happening.

My son just completed Kindergarten and I can't say enough good things about all his teachers. He has special needs and the speech therapist and special needs teacher as well as his Kindergrten teacher have all been amazing! They truely love what they do and it shows!
