This school is growing, getting better and offering more and more programs for kids who are deaf in the Phoenix community. This summer marks the second year they are offering a Summer School program. Awesome, caring Administration!!

This school is for the deaf and is a campus for K - 12. I feel the greatschools.org rating of this school is unfair as it is solely based on test scores. As a deaf schoool that serves the deaf community and deaf children it should be noted that communicaton and curriculum are in a class of its own and should not be compared to standardized test scores. Having said that I know that the schools new administration has a heart for the kids at this school and is very excited about bringing change and opportunity to PDSD. The school offers individual attention to the students, an athletic program, cheer program and many other extracurricular programs to enhance the learning experience for these kids. PDSD hosted the WSBCC - Western States Basketball and Cheerleading Classic in 2013 and the PDSD Girls and Boys Basketball teams both won first place at the tournament in 2014! This school is a gem in the desert for the deaf community!
