I have had great experiences here with a friendly staff. I would like more sports to be offered for students.

Teachers work hard at Richard E. Miller to meet the needs of every student. REM is a tight knit community where the staff cares for one another as well as the families they serve!

I have noticed an immense difference in my child since she has started at REM. She has been happier and more engaged in the teachings. Teachers seem to be real cheerleaders for the students. They are constantly checking in with care.

My child has been apart of REM since first grade and I have noticed so much growth. The teachers are caring, responsive, and patient. I am so glad I am able to trust and send my child here the past 4 years!

I send my daughter to this school and the support is amazing! I love how quick everyone is to answer my questions and concerns. The first grade team is amazing! It is evident that the teachers and staff here care deeply about their students.

The staff and teachers at the school are very kind and clearly very invested in the students' success, both academically and overall. This is a smaller school where all the admin and teachers know all the students' names. They provide opportunities for families to be involved and attend events as well, and there are opportunities for students to be involved in things like sports, student government, etc. My child is in the gifted program and has had great experiences there. Because it is a smaller school, there is not as much support as there would be in a bigger school- so for example, the gifted program is a program that they attend on a weekly basis, as opposed to having this integrated into their daily classes. Overall we have had a very positive experience at this school. Both my kids have loved their time at REM and we have felt very welcome as a family in the community.

My son attended REM for kinder and 1st grade. I just loved the teachers he had. He learned so much and his teachers were always involved with the students. The school always had events forbthe families and I really liked that.

The principal and administrative staff are snotty, and have acted in disregard for laws and regulations relative to disciplining my S.P. E.D. student. They stop the boys from bullying my son, but not the girls. The school doesn't have a resident mental health specialist, just a social worker, who they wanted to have provide counseling to my son. He never had behavior problems until he started attending school there. He says they always rush him through everything and that he feels stressed. He's only six. If you check the district website, you can see that the school's "continuous improvement plan" is to hurry the students through everything, to "maximize the time [the school] has with them". Most of the school is low income, and it's pretty clear that much of the staff assumes we must be horrible parents because we are poor. The only one who doesn't talk down to my partner and I is my child's classroom teacher.

This is by far the best school my children have ever attended. The staff is awesome and take the time to get to know the families. There are many family activities throughout the year. For example, in January they have a family skate night at great skate. All of the students get in and skate for free. I have only had to complain once about a bully issue and the school took care of it right away. My kids grades are all a's & b's and if they fall behind the teachers help them get caught up. This school has a great math and reading program.

RIchard E. Miller Elementary School in North Phoenix has employees are not only do their written job, but also the jobs of mentor and parent. The teachers seem genuinely concerned about their students and their academic and emotional development. My daughter's teacher, for example, advises me about ways to have her focus better when she reads.
