My three children attended ATS from kindergarten through eighth grade. The education they received provided them the foundation that made them successful all the way through college. The teachers put in extra hours after school to support clubs, sports, and one-on-one tutoring. If you have the chance, visit the campus, let that be one of your deciding factors. You will feel the positivity and spirit that’s made ATS successful for 40 years

If you are looking for a great school to send your child to, look no further than Alhambra Traditional. ATS is a school that fosters an environment in which children strive for academic excellence, starting as a young age. As an educator myself, I was very selective when it came to choosing a school for my own child. First, ATS has excellent accolades; they are an A rated school by the AZ department of education and are recognized as a National Blue Ribbon school. In addition to academics, and probably my favorite aspect of enrolling my child at ATS, is that my son didn’t just gain a teacher and friends at school, but an entire community. ATS hosts various community building events throughout the school year and are intentional about parents working with teachers, admin, and other parents to ensure the success of all their students. Furthermore, in this day in age, it is hard to hire and retain good teachers, however, ATS has excellent teacher retention and most of the teachers there have been in the profession for a long time. The accolades go to show that the kids are learning, but retention speaks to the fact that the teachers also feel supported and fulfilled in their roles. Lastly, I appreciate the fact that there is so much communication between parents and teachers. I love that at least once a week we receive pictures of our children participating in classroom activities. All in all, I’m very satisfied with my experience so far and I’m happy with this choice!Did I mention that we're not even halfway through the school year and my kindergartner can already read?!?!?! Insane.Highly recommend!

ATS is an excellent school proving that students of all ethnicities, social status and income levels can ALL reach their highest potential at Alhambra Traditional School. I love our diverse school where each student is an equal and expected to meet the academic and social responsibility demands. Two of my children have promoted from ATS they were prepared for advanced high school classes.

My son attended this school from Kinder thru the end of 4th grade. Unfortunately this summer I had to move him to a school near our home since we were not going to be able to pick him up on time any longer and could not afford the after daycare expense. If it wasn't for that I would have loved for him to finish this school thru 8th Grade. He started reading early in kinder because of the strong curriculum this school has. This school has some very high standards for the kids and keeps them challenged. My older son went on to high school and was accepted into all honors classes because how challenged he was in this school. I now feel that I am doing a disservice to my 5th grader sending him to a lesser school near our home. I hope the strong ethics that he received at this school stay with him at the new school. As a parent at this school you must stay involved and on top of homework if you want your child to succeed. It was as much homework for us as parents as it was for my children. I strongly recommend this school. We never lived near the school but it was worth it to drive far to bring them here. Many parents drive from distances just so that their children can attend this school. Put your child on the waiting list, you will not regret it. It is ranked very high in the state and country as a top performing elementary. My son always outscored the state average on the state tests and the school as a whole outscores the state average, goes to show how well these kids are taught at this school. To achieve an A the child must score above 95% compared to your regular school. Just sets that bar high, so when they get to high school they are used to it and out achieve your average child.

They have enough teachers to make sure your child gets the appropriate attention to learn the skills they need for each grade.

My son has been going to ATS since Kinder and he just started 3rd grade. The teachers and staff are all very professions and know what they are doing. My son started reading in Kinder which amazed me. I sways get complimented at the fact of how polite he is and honestly a huge part of that politeness goes to the school which teaches them how to be respectful. Something I haven't seen in schools in a while. Also I love that they are super strict when it comes to education. overall so far I am satisfied.

I was a founding parent of ATS. Some people thought that the children attending would be like robots because of the strict adherence to basic skills. Because of basic skills my children learned how to think creatively. If you go to Walmart and see a product in the sunscreen section called My Cabana Boy it was invented my a creative woman that was in the first kindergarten class. It's all about the basic. I'm glad the school is still around. Jm Jeanne murphy

This is my kids second year at this school and I couldn't be happier. Education is the school's top priority which is surpristingly not a priority in many schools.
