This school makes a significant effort in appropriate and normal education for the children. There is a sense of togetherness, anti-bullying practices, and sufficient counseling outlets for the children. The lunches are normal/just fine, the fees are normal/just fine. Teachers were found to be overall very normal, helpful, and followed up well with the kids for past-due/missing homework along with assignments the kids didn't fully understand. The one issue I had with an assistant teacher behaving aggressively was resolved quick and well. My children look back on this school with fond memories saying this was one of the best schools they attended (we moved around a bit). Overall, if you are searching for a place to live and are looking for good schools, I would say this one is mighty fine and high up on my list. I tend to have my bar pretty high so that means a lot. :)

These ratings are so boring already. Blah, blah. Gee, poor kids who don’t speak English score poorly on standardized tests. Duh. Winston Elementary School is fantastic! The teachers are top notch. It’s ridiculous that parents actually are scared away from buying homes here based on these dumb reviews. Or they pay thousands of dollars for private schools because they fear the school like it’s the boogeyman. Actually talk to parents.

Don’t be fooled by the ratings you see in real estate apps. This simply means Winston has students of color rather than purely white upper class. As a career educator (not in this district), Winston gets it right on so many levels. The teachers are incredible and their communication with parents is superb. I highly recommend this school for a plethora of reasons I haven’t the time to list.

Teachers and staff are very caring and make sure every student is never left behind. Great school and thanks so much for Mr. Tieman, the school principal for being so involved.

Winston Campus Elementry school ROCKS! The principal Mr. Tieman deserves a standing ovation. He is so involved with the students and shows such interest in their learning. He knows every child by name & greets them with a smile that would light up the school. He is extremely patient and leads the school with such enthusiasm and structure. The teachers are all so friendly and the atmosphere makes the kids wanna learn and encourages them to wanna go to school.
