I was a student in the 90's, before the now upper or lower elem school was built & when it was the Jr high & north elem just after that building opened. My husband & I both attended this school until he was moved to the North elem in 5th grade. We loved this school!!! I have 2 younger sisters that also attended south elem, they had great teachers as well. Ozark really is an amazing school system!!! I might be a lil biased tho...I come from a long line of Ozark graduates. 2 uncles, mom, aunt, gpa, great aunts/uncles & more! Love Ozark schools, too bad I live in Springfield now. :(

I used to be a teacher at Ozark South and can attest to the wonderful teachers, staff, parents and students at this great school. The teachers were wonderful colleagues who cared for the students deeply and took their education seriously. The parents were involved and supportive and the PTA was outstanding. Student success is top priority for all. I would send my own children to this school as well as any other Ozark school.

This school used to be pretty good. However, they brought in a new principal, and the quality seems to have greatly diminished.

I feel truly honored to have my daughter attend such a wonderful school. The teachers, principal and support staff are very involved and encouraging to the children. My daughter is in first grade and loves to go to school every single day and every single day the principal is waiting at the car to tell her how great it is to see her. I love the fact that when I tell another parent where my daughter attends school they tell me how many wonderful things they have heard about our school. Also, parent involvement is above and beyond!!! Way to go South!!!

We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Ozark South. My son is in first grade there and absolutely loves it. He went to kindergarten there as well. His teachers have been wonderful. The principal is awesome. You can really tell that he loves his job, and the kids love him. Everytime I am there or we are at a school function he's always involved. I think he know's every kids name in that whole school. This school is wonderful. I think what makes them stand out is that they don't do what's easiest for them, they do what is best for their students, and it shows. The atmosphere in that school is very encouraging!
