Terrible approach at issues, several teachers are lacking effective methods of learning (The whole point of school) and instead prefer to give piles of homework each night, they ignore people asking for help and put you down for not being caught up or being confused. The last time I had a good learning experience was in Springfield. My grades are suffering because I cant keep up with the ridiculous amounts of homework in classes. Everyone that I have talked to all agree that English (I and II) are terribly taught, and pile homework on every student. I can only agree, I cant remember the last time we had a day to catch up on work, so instead I find myself staying up late relying on coffee to finish assignments.

It’s the first year at Nixa High School and it has been great thusfar. The teachers are very engaged with my child. They go above and beyond to ensure his needs are met. The student body has been friendly and welcoming to a new student.

Overall, Nixa teachers are fairly reasonable and are generally willing to work with students. Some issues with individual teachers, but for the most part, some great teachers and great students. Absence policies could use work, as could a couple others, but truly not a bad experience.

this school is horrible!!! The teachers can use curse words at the students and you can't do a thing about it! Also i can't believe how bad the administration is!! This school will make your student hate school!!

Haha all the one stars are submitted by parents.... Anyway, Nixa is awesome. Better than countless other schools I've been to.
