We love this school. Principal Bruner is passionate about the students. Every morning, she's in the car drop-off area greeting the kids. During this COVID-19 situation, the creativity, effort, and support these teachers have put forth is off-the-charts incredible. They are giving their all to keep parents and students informed and engaged. We're so impressed.

My family loves Osceola Elementary School! My children are learning and very happy at school. Thank you Dr. Speidel and all the teachers and staff and students for bringing up the school grade. You did a super job! We are proud of Osceola. The standards are high and there are great parent nights and tutoring. Everyone works hard for our kids! We like the new principal and would invite anyone to visit the school. Osceola is a great school and the teachers really care.

This school was fantastic until Speidel became principal. She's awful. There is ZERO communication. Common core has decidedly 'lowered the standards' as has the current principal. USED to be a great school. Now I wouldn't send a puppy there for training! The guidance counsellor is a horrible example of anything that should be exposed to a child. She's neurotic to say the least! No need for explicit details, but she really needs therapy. (This is coming from a Psychologist. She needs help. Honestly.) Because of this we moved our 2 children to private school. Worth it to keep them from being exposed to the insanity at this school. Insofar as education: the standards have dropped severely. Math simply isn't being taught in the 2nd and 3rd grades. One of my kids had to play catch up at private school. He had to be tutored for MONTHS to get there. It is notable that he's considered gifted and reads at 3 grades above his level. There was no reason for him to be so far behind when he got straight A's from Osceola. All in all dreadful school. If I could give it less than 1 star I would. Beautiful neighborhood, fantastic city--- but if you're moving, budget for private school.

My name is Artem Postnikov, I am 14 years old. I now live in Russia, but I studied for 3 years in Osceola Elementary school. Those were the best three years of school in my life. Only now that I study in Russia, now that I know what it's like to have biased or prejudiced teachers, now that I know what it's like to do homework all night, now that I know what it's like to completely not understand a subject and feel alone because no one will properly explain it to you, now that I know what it's like to go to school on Saturday and do homework on Sunday, now that I know what it's like to hate every little piece of school, and anticipate everyday of it with dread, only now I understand that I should not have taken Osceola elementary school for granted. In Osceola you will find anything that a perfect school requires to be perfect: friendly and forgiving staff and teachers, a great balance between too much school and homework, and not enough; plenty of great extra activities that your child will no doubt enjoy, latest tech to make learning easier and more fun, a great cafeteria, and an atmosphere... An atmosphere in which your child will thrive, in which your child will feel special, in which your child will become better, stronger, smarter, and an overall good, honest person...An atmosphere which other schools can only hope to achieve.

We wanted to love this school. It's within walking distance to our home, and the administration does seem to care about the students. However, some of the faculty members are very unprofessional, and treat you like a high-maintenance wacko if you ask for open communication regarding your child's progress. In addition, there seems to be a lot of children at this school with severe behavioral issues that are not being addressed. The teachers and administrators are constantly dealing with these children, while the other kids are left to slip through the cracks. There are a few wonderful teachers, and the husband/wife team who run the media center are absolutely fantastic. But for the most part, we were extremely disappointed in Osceola Elementary.

We were only at this school for a brief time, but I have to say I loved everything about Osceola Elementary. My son's teacher was awesome, and the administration bent over backwards for us. I recently pulled him from public school for this school year (for health reasons) but did it with a very heavy heart. We are looking forward to coming back to this awesome school next year!

My son has blossomed in this school, as their staff are very humane, affectionated, and warm, as well as professional and strict .They do whatever it takes, for children to excel and the teachers work toguether for the best interest of the student. Also, they count on voluntaries that make a difference in mentoring the children, and they do an awesome job toguether with the teachers. The principal, listens to the parents and is very friendly, and resourceful person as the assistant of the principal, Mr Atkin, children respect them and love them .It's a great school,I think all children should have people like this people, to build their fundation in live. I feel very lucky my son is going to Osceola elementary, and my daugther that is going to be 2 I want her to go there too.

We moved a private school in the school year and found this school to be lacking in many areas. First off, the entire office staff up to the assistant principal does a wonderful job, they address your concerns the minute you share them. The problem lies in how the teachers' hands are tied when it comes to controlling problem children in their class which makes all the others suffer and drains the teachers. My daughter went from a grade ahead to c's, d's and f's. I was told that my standards were to high and the teacher was full of excuses and seemed very put out that they have to actually teach my child and address her concerns. The teacher has even made comments to my child in front of others that they have to make sure they grade her papers on time, etc, so I won't call and complain. This is completely unprofessional, inappropriate when a parent is attempting to step in and assist their child to bring their grades back up and stay there because the teachers are overwhelmed and have too many extracurricular activities on their plate. Classrooms are distracting for children and the internet is not updated at all as promised unless you complain. That should NOT be the case.

I have had 3 kids in this school and do not want to move to ensure my youngest stays in this school, it is a smaller school. The kids feel safe and are able to participate in great extracurriculum activities. My kids were all able to thrive at Osceola, now my two oldest are in the gifted program at OBMS and do very well.

This is my daughter's second year here at Osceola and she loves it. She is doing well and likes going to school. Her teachers have been very open and honest. Communicate well and keep me informed. Love this school.

This School used to Alot better , but over the last few years its gone down. I think they treat these kids like #s. Alot of these teachers do like there jobs and yell at the kids. And they know who they are. And its like come on these kids didnt make your pay go down, or I dont know its just like alot dont like what they do. There are like 10 people at this school that I knoiw of that are awesome and really love there jobs... Mr Johnson I will never forget ALL my kids so loved him, people make mistakes. No offence to the new one, but I just LOVED his involment with the childern and you could SOOO tell they liked it alot.
