I contacted a counselor to ask for extra resources and instead of telling me to go to the teachers, she just sent them my email. I got a very nasty phone call from one of the teachers BERATING me telling me that my email made her look bad and she DEMANDED that my child finish 2 assignments by end of day, one of which was an exam - the same things I was trying to get resources for. I told the teacher my child was not ready, but she called us anyway to force the DBA. When my child told the teacher they were not ready the teacher basically (but not directly) said "well I tried so its not my fault your kid is failing" so the only reason this teacher was trying to rush my kid was to cover her own butt instead of helping my kid succeed. My kid and I pushed for a withdrawal from all classes by end of day to attend a local private academy instead. My kid is disabled with accommodations and was treated like trash for asking for help.

The teachers were mediocre at best. They used to phone us all the time and were usually unpleasant when they did. When you try to contact them again, they will not return your call. They don't actually help you understand the lessons, and you're pretty much on your own.95 percent of the time, their class submissions don't work. They will dismiss you from classes without warning. In addition, the assistance is insufficient. Not to mention that the site employs keyloggers, as evidenced by the site's data.Teachers complain that work isn't being submitted despite the fact that it appears on your end.The site's design is unappealing, and 5% of the links are inactive. There is no way to report a teacher on the site.

I wish I had made the move sooner, but still I am very grateful that I did. I have seen growth in my child both academically and socially and she has become a more responsible teen who enjoys learning and is thriving. However, I must add that "it takes a village." Parents must realize that the owness is not on the school for their child's experience. Instead, it is a partnership of the families, community and school to ensure a successful experience for out students. Parents must do their part in supporting their child/children and realize that the school is not responsible for the rearing of your child. This also includes being active in your child's educational journey as that reinforces to them the importance of education. Some of the challenges that schools face can be addressed through parental dedication and providing an environment conducive to learning. We as well as the school have to play our part in achieving the best outcome for our children.

10/10 love this school. It is a great way for kids to learn their own way.

Very individualized for the student and supportive teachers and staff. They really try hard to keep the whole child in mind, not just focus on academics. Spirit Week, community meet ups, annual field trip, Career Day, character education, and awards ceremonies are just a few of the extra special opportunities they make for their students.

Look at the standard test scores and the average SAT they are favorable. If your student is a strong independent worker they will thrive at this school.
