I am a Haitian student currently enrolled at Sunshine High School, 80% of us Haitians are enrolled at the school. We are mistreated by the Principal and some of the staff and teachers. We currently don't have anyone at the school that speaks our language and we always get put last before any of the other students that are from a different ethnicity. My parents are currently looking for another school to put me in, but when I first started to go to the school the Haitian students that were already here before me said that the school was horrible and that get treated differently because ethnicity. I just wanted to give my thoughts to any parent or student who's trying to enroll at Sunshine High School.

Everyone here, the teachers and staff, are very unproffesional, biased, and prejudiced. The school doesnt do any type of good for anyone.

I think this is a good school but they need to do something about breaks and the room temp. but other than that Sunshine High is a good school, 2014 Graduate.

This school is not good. They kicked me out for walking out after getting permission for medical reasons then told me that I needed to have a parent meeting and they would call my mom. They never called her. So about a month later my mom came with me and the lady upfront said she never told them to call her. Then Mr Gram says out of no where we didn't call because your mom said that she doesn't want to be involved with the school (basically I can leave early without parent consent) but the lady admitted that she never told you guys?? And why would you tell me I need a parent meeting but don't want to call my mom to schedual the appointment since I "wasn't allowed to" they kick kids out for little reasons so get more into the school. It's an unfair school. And don't get me started on the principal. all he does is walk up and down on his iPhone. Half the time he isn't even at the school. I'd reccomend you go else where if you're serious about your kid getting their diploma.

I have to say at first I thought the school was great. But over the last several months they have allowed my son to come in late on MANY occasions without any reprimanding him nor communication to me. This is the same problem I had with his "old school" they let him get away with anything just to push him through. I try my hardest but need the support of the school to enforce THEIR rules, when I say your gonna get in trouble for being late all the time and then he doesn't he looks at me like I don't know what I'm talking about. All I know is if it where a job, eventually he would be fired. So how is allowing it in school ok? When in the real world it won't be ok?!
