I think the speech language pathologist at this school could be doing a lot more so students can overcome the challenges that they face with speech and language problems. I'm not sure if she does not care about the students with disabilities or if it is just time for her to retire. Fortunately, the special education teacher at this school is incredibly hard working and goes above and beyond to help her kids succeed. The new principal is also involved and a valuable staff member helping families and kids who are struggling in various ways

I don't understand why so many people talk down this school. It's unfortunate that it's a "P.I school". My child attended Haynes for two years and misses it. She's currently enrolled in another school in the district that it supposedly one of the better schools. It's really no different from Haynes, as far as curriculum. The school work and the homework here is the same as Haynes. The way the kids are taught isn't different from how they're taught at Haynes. As far low test scores, let's not forget that education is a partnership between teachers and parents.I didn't love all of the office staff at this school but the principal and Mr. Barnett, along with the teachers are very friendly and welcoming. Hopefully test scores will go up.
