  The proctors at this school are terrible. They don't have proper training to be able to watch over the children at recess or lunch as my child has experience several incidents with proctors. One they are on their phone instead of watching the children, two they are rude to children for example my daughter was going to the restroom while at recess and the proctor told her to head back to the playground but my daughter told her I need to use the restroom and the proctor got upset and told her no you don't. At this point my daughter told her you don't have my body therefore you don't know what I'm feeling so yes I need to go to the restroom. After that the proctor was upset but allowed her to use the restroom. On another occasion a disagreement between students a little girl complaining to a proctor that my daughter made her cry because my daughter told the little girl to share the swings and that they are for all children at the school to use. This made the little girl upset because she didn't want to allow anybody to use the swings. The proctor yelled at my daughter because she made the little girl cry but my daughter was trying to explain what happened and as an adult you have to figure out both sides of the story but the proctor was dismissive with my daughter didn't let her speak or explain the situation. This made my daughter feel bad and she said she wanted to cry herself but was strong and held back her tears. Another situation happened on 1/19/22 at lunch were my daughter was seating at cafeteria about to have lunch and wanted to seat next to another friend and a proctor literally put her whole are around my daughters waist and slide her back to the original spot she was seating. My daughter felt violated and was shocked that an adult put her hands on her. She was scared and uncomfortable and informed me when she got home of the incident. I have complaining several times with the principal and vice principal and nothing has been done. I also told them that the proctors need better training but it falls on death ears. The school also has a big bullying problem, it's tough enough to deal with children bullying and add to adults bullying this school is terrible. I dont recommend for parents to put there children at this school. I'm actively looking to change my 1st and 2nd grader out of this school. Horrible experience. ...More Reviews

  Great school! I love the administration. The office staff is friendly and always helpful. My daughter has wonderful teachers. Ms. Kresge and Mrs. Worthington go above and beyond. They have made such amazing progress with my child. ...More Reviews

  My children have been at Sultana since 2009, this School is an average public school. Yes it is mostly Spanish speaking households and as an English only household, I don't see that as an issue. The teachers are awesome! I can imagine it must be difficult teaching the standards to children still developing English language skills. This school is in need of funds but what makes it great is the teachers often do special things out of their own pocket with no help from the district I'm sure; Things like buying kids backpacks, paying for pizza parties, and supplies for the classroom. I am pleased with the education my children are receiving here. The teachers really care and it shows. Also, the office staff is always helpful and sweet, the principal will address any issue right away even when my child has come to her, she is never too busy.
