We had mixed experience so far. School values strict discipline among students. Children are taught high moral values from the start. Academically the school follows a repetitive curriculum aimed at drilling students' memory rather than teaching them to think out of the box and giving them tools to become independent problem solvers. If the student is either ahead or behind the average (as my children are in different subjects) there is nothing done to adjust instructions to their levels. They get bored fast if they are ahead and stay hopelessly behind if we do not put major effort in academics at home.

Switching our son to St. Peter's from our local public school was one of the best decisions we've ever made. The care and guidance provided by his teachers and counselor is amazing. We are extremely grateful that our friends recommended this school, and are planning on enrolling our 4 year old daughter here next year.

Saint Peter's is an excellent school. My children are getting a top notch education from highly qualified teachers. The music and drama program is stellar and led by a very talented music director. The principal is a huge reason why this school is so great. She is a strong and dedicated leader. We are so lucky to be a part of this very special community.

I love the nurturing environment my children are in. I also enjoy all the family related events (grandparents day, open houses) and all the volunteer opportunities that allow me to take part in my children's school.

Great School!! We have been at Saint Peter's for three years now (Pre-K4 to 1st. grade), and couldn't be happier. My daugther is happy each day to go to school and come home and share their experiences. The staff is great, the academics are very good and the families are wonderful. Highly recommend!!!

My daughter entered 3rd grade and is new to the school . I am very impressed with the academic curriculum. The teachers and staff are extremely helpful and professional. While I had many other schools to pick, I am very happy with my decision at St. Peter's. My daughter's enthusiasm every morning to go to school is a validation that I made the right choice.

Excellent academic curriculum. The faculty & staff teach and encourage good manners, right conduct and the right moral values that is sorely lacking today. Great sense of community and parent involvement in the school. We have been in this school for 9 years, sending them here was one of the best decisions we ever made!

Solid academic program, strong Catholic values, great leadership, wonderful & caring teachers - that is what makes this a terrific Catholic school. My children have been here since kindergarten, and they truly prepare the children for the challenges of the world. We most truly appreciate the hand written notes and pictures that our principal, Mrs. Whelan send to each family one or twice a year updating us on how the kids are doing in school. The support from the faculty, the priests, the parish, office staff and grounds crew is tremendous - you know your child is in a safe environment at all times. Special mention to Mrs. Proday - who runs a tight ship but is well-loved & respected by all. Truly a Blue Ribbon school!

My children have been at St. Peter's for three years now from preschool to Kindergarten and each year has been fantastic. From the passionate teachers, advanced curriculum, school-wide events, to parent involvement opportunities - I feel blessed that we are part of this educational community. My children are happy each day to go to school and to come home and share their experiences. I have also truly enjoyed the parenting connections I have made as this has been another source of communication that continues to foster my decision to be at St. Peter's.

This is our 9th year at St. Peter's. My daughter will be graduating and my son is in 5th grade. They have both been at St. Peter's since kindergarten. This is a Christ centered school. They are taught values and what it means to walk in our Roman Catholic faith. The principal is outstanding; and the staff and teachers are brilliant, caring and very talented. There is an enormous amount of parent involvement. There is a strong sense of community here. When the children graduate, they are completely prepared for the next phase of their education. They truly deserved the Blue Ribbon School of Excellence award. My children and I love this school and are very blessed and very grateful to be part of its community.

Fantastic school. Solid academics, caring teachers, outstanding and visionary principal, many enrichment programs, and a fun and engaging environment. My children's national test scores are very strong and they are reminded always to be polite, mindful, and caring citizens. Wonderful place. Well-deserved blue ribbon award from U.S. Dept. of Education!

St. Peter s is a fabulous school. Our children have been there for 9 years (K thru 8). There are multiple reasons for this high praise. 1. The Principal, Mrs. Whelan. Like all well-run organizations the tone gets set from the top. She runs an efficient, forward-looking team that is not content with the status-quo and yet she always has time for every student and every parent. 2. The teachers. First and foremost they are qualified, but as important they care deeply about their students and create a nurturing environment for learning. 3. The families. The parents care about their children, they are engaged, and they volunteer at the school all the time; these family values are in turn reflected in the types of students at the school. Is St. Peter s perfect? No. But nothing is perfect and when our children graduate this year it will be very hard to say good-bye. Even though we are in Montgomery County, and there are excellent public schools, we could not have made a better choice in selecting a school that provides challenging academics in a nurturing environment where children are happy and are taught to emulate Christ.
