Our experience at Brooke Grove was SUPERB! We were coming from another section of MoCo and were blown away by the teachers, the level of engagement, and the quality of teachers. What a FABULOUS community school!

One of the things that attracted us to this school initially was the diversity and experience of the teachers, and diversity in the student body. Our initial experience with the school was great, teachers were amazing and communicated frequently. Unfortunately, most of the minority teachers & staff left the school due to poor leadership. The principal doesn't like being challenged, and so you are forced to either take it or leave it. Inclusivity is also lacking for students with disabilities in this school. There are various extracurricular activities and programs geared towards "Typical" students, which leave "atypical" students out. If you are white and part of the "in crowd" you'll fit right in to this school, however, if you are not you will probably struggle. The student body is very diverse, the staff and teachers need to reflect the diversity of the school. My advise for leadership, LISTEN to your teachers AND parents. Understand the needs of the students as a whole and not just the privileged when making hiring decisions. Include key stakeholders in your decision making.

Unfortunately, I wanted to say great but it has not been the best. The way they involve the principal and asst. principal in everything, even an email about how your child is doing in unorthodox, the teachers are selective in who they give a pass to and did not notice this when our children started coming here but when I review scores, character, etc about this school, it is interested how when you look at race break down, the white students (the majority) is 10/10 while other races struggle. So all the white people at this school is stellar with testing while Blacks, Hispanics and Asians struggle. Why is that?

Very BAD, why the.... a teacher (a) would have a cup of coffee while in KISS & RIDE duety in the morning, this is Terrible and dangerous specially around little kids! If you insist on drinking your coffee, please stay a way, far a way from all the kids!

I am not sure what else a school can do to get a 10 other than test well on a state level. I have been extremely pleased with this school. I have two children attending and I love the community and the people as well as the overall commitment to involvement. From Science Share to Variety shows, classroom celebrations and the curriculum, I could not be more satisfied.

The principal is really involved and tries to attend personally to any problems the parents may have. The teachers are really good too and my son loves going to school. His performance has really gone up.
