I went to this school. I am a former student, I left because of the unfair treatment the black kids were getting. Not a very ethical place at all. They chose certain students to advance, and the others were ignored.

Even before my husband and I had children, we received glowing recommendations for Olney Adventist Prep (OAP). The reviews had such an impact on us that, even though we moved out of state for several years, the school stayed on our radar. Upon relocating to Maryland, we registered our daughter at OAP, and now we personally understand the hype. The faculty and staff are warm and kind, while being responsive and professional. The academics are rigorous, and the teachers go the extra mile to ensure students’ success. But most importantly, our daughter comes home so excited about her school experience. We are so grateful for OAP and its approach to Christian education. We look forward to enrolling our youngest daughter in kindergarten there soon.

We sent our two children to OAPS back in 2016 after an exhaustive search for a school that would meet our children’s specific learning needs. My son who was in third grade at the time is very advanced in math and every school we looked at found this to be an almost insurmountable problem. So, when we arrived at OAPS we were relieved when the principal explained how this would not be a problem at all at OAPS. The principal explained that they had several students who were either in the grade above or the grade below for math, writing, reading groups, and vocabulary. My son has since graduated from OAPS and is top of his class in high school. My daughter is still attending OAPS and is also benefiting from the ability to take math classes a grade ahead. If you are looking for small classrooms where the teachers meet the needs of each student individually this is the school for you.

This is a good school. Grades K-5 are supported strongly and all of those grades have great, hard working teachers. The English/Liteature arts teacher is incredible. History/Bible is ok. Math/Science teacher is horrible. Overall middle school is where the most kids start to leave but it is still an average school.

This is a GREAT school. The teachers are OUTSTANDING and the curriculum is challenging. It is the best value for your money in Maryland. This gem of education may be the best kept secret in Montgomery County. I wish every child had the experience of attending Olney Adventist Prep School. Our family will be forever blessed because we had the opportunity to have our child attend this amazing school!!!!

This is in my opinion the best adventist school in the Maryland DC metor area. While there is a religious bent, they don't sacrifice quality education. The school is benefitted by the fact that there are tons of incredibly involved parents who will not accept anything less that a great education for their children. Teacher quality is very good. I can not speak much about the upper school as my children only went through 6th grade. I feel the school prepared our oldest very well for the school she attended after leaving. I recommend this school highly. We have had 2 children attend. One went from First Though sixth and is now about to attend High School and the Other is currently there and has been there from first through third.
