My son attends this school for the past 4 years and I am very happy about it. Good teachers, organized administration, clean classes. I know my kid is absolutely safe and is focused on studying and discipline. I could come in to school and see how my kid interacts with other kids through the glass window.

If there is a zero star option, this is what it this school deserves( Julia Brown in Olney), no respect for the child or his parents, no engagement with the family about their child progress. I have not seen any educational or moral progress with my child. Teacher level of education and capability to teach is zero. One year of what they called us education, my child still writes the Z inverted. The teacher did not have a capability to correct that, no actual supervision on kids in class. At one I assign my husband went to pick our child and he saw a girl on top of him with a mouth to mouth position. We freaked out and reported the negligence and as a result they kicked my child out of the school. Traumatizing experience to the child. I will never recommend this awful school. We will report this to the Montessori committee to reevaluate the eligibility of this school to take this name.

THIS SCHOOL LOCATION IS HORRIFIC! Per my 4YO child (with the understanding they embellish) a teacher told my child he should cut his private parts off and become a female. Then they closed for feigned Covid reasons and when asked what they were doing for parents kicked my son out of their school via a message in their app at 10:19PM the day before he would have been slated to return to school. They have no respect or care for parents who pay them thousands of dollars a year or the children they’re expected to show kindness and educate each day. I will be taking legal action against this organization. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I highly recommend this school. We loved the staff and most of all the outstanding level of education. We made a mistake of sending our daughter to MCPS and deeply regret doing so. Julia Brown Montessori has a much higher standard of education. I baffled at easy homework my child gets from MCPS - it is from challenging even after asking her teacher to provide my child with extra challenging assignments. Needless to say, we are going back to Julia Brown and will also enroll our 2-year-old.

I would highly recommend you to choose this school for your child, my two daughters attended JBMS since the age of 2 through third grade. They have guided my daughters in the most important years of their lives not just in academic parts but also in developing confidence, kindness, responsibility, and honesty. The school has a very high level of education with very well-structured before and after care programs. The staff and the leadership is nurturing, experienced, and dedicated. JBMS is truly dedicated to providing the best environment and education for each and every child. Montessori is truly a wonderful method of learning and growing, it has been an amazing experience for my children and our entire family. Former parent
