Would not recommend this school for any child with a disability. My nephew has attended this school for the last two months and has been treated very unfairly. They are not willing to make simple accommodations to provide the education that he needs and therefore he has not completed a full week of school in the last month. They clearly do not want to be bothered or have the patience to deal with a child with a disability. They frequently suggest other schools and continue to show signs of discrimination against my nephew.

This is where I sent all four of my children, and it has been the best school we could have ever asked for. My youngest son struggled in middle school, and we had sent him to a non traditional high school for a better experience. His first comment upon coming home from his first day at Discovery High School was "MOM! It was great, I felt cared about just the way I did at Startown!" When the high water mark for excellent education is your elementary school, that is really telling. I would like to thank the excellent staff for a wonderful experience for my children. I will be very sad when my youngest child moves on to middle school!

They care about the students and their families.

This is a well rounded school. Focus on academics, community, and arts. It has an open minded spirit that allows all children to achieve their goals and be a part of a larger goal. It makes me sad to send my children away for so many hours a day but I am grateful for the teachers and staff who make this a safe and HAPPY place for them everyday. To sum it up THEY CARE!!!

I have one child that goes to Startown and I have been very pleased with the teachers, staff, and administration. Great school!

My son is thriving in kindergarten at Startown. We wouldn't have him anywhere else. In fact, we chose our house because it was in Startown's district.

Clearly, this is an excellent school. Startown does an excellent job of maintaining a balance that respects the rights of all students.

This school discriminates against children with special needs. Selective teachers have there pick. If a child is not part of a teachers pick, the child is bullied by both students and teachers and the administrative staff will do nothing about it. My daughter attended this school. Her last year there was the 5th grade. My daughter was put through pure HELL. We now home school her. She has never been happer. Her grade point average has doubled since she has been removed from the public school system.
