This is the best school I have ever had the chance of being a part of. The staff and students make you feel like family and take care of each other.

Severe bullying problem. Principal does not care.

No leadership. Just ego. The principal is extremely controlling towards the teachers and students.

This school has a serious bullying problem. The principal Dyanne Sherrill does not care. Sherrill is in way over her head. This elementary school is just too big for her. She's not qualified. There are no consequences for bullying. And if you defend yourself then that child gets in the same amount of trouble as the one who throws the first punch. There's about 30 or more students in each class. Not enough TA's. The teachers are over worked without enough help. I would choose Blackburn over Mt View.

Very unwelcoming school. Children are not treated with respect and allowed to be independent. Very rigid expectations.

Too much griping about politics and promoting outside businesses. I don't want to have to complain or hunt through the internet to make sure my childs picture isn't published.

I cringe reading several teachers' letters home rife with misspelled words and improper grammar. These are the people my children are supposed to (not "suppose to") see as models. Disappointing.

I am so proud of Mt View School! First of all when you approach the school it is a beautiful place it will make you happy being there! As you walk in the school everyone there has smiles on their faces and want to greet you! As you walk into the hallways you know that the children are learning so very much! Pictures on all the walls of learning tools! The colors in the school make you feel comfortable and above all my grandchild loves her school! There are so many things to do as far as activities! I am proud to have my granddaughter to be going to Mt. View School!

I have had 4 kids go through Mt. View and have been very pleased with the school. There is a strong emphasis on reading and comprehension and it has benefited my children greatly.
