Choosing to send my two boys to Saint Joes was the best decision I have ever made! Not only is the education they are receiving phenomenal, the faculty and staff truly feel like an extended member of your family! I love how the school allows you to be as involved as you would like with volunteering for lunch and recess duty or being a mystery reader in your child’s classroom and so much more. My boys are excited to go to school every day!

The community at St.Joe’s is second to none. Students, parents, and faculty create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where everyone feels like an extended family member. They have smaller class sizes and the dedicated faculty and staff are passionate about nurturing young minds. They offer a unique blend of faith-based education and academic excellence. The experiences we have had at St. Joe’s make it a valuable choice for families seeking a well-rounded educational experience.

My family moved to Dedham from out of state, and St. Joe’s has surpassed our expectations. Our kids are so happy there. Every morning they run into the building! Being new to the area, we have been so grateful for all the community events the school offers (popsicle play dates, Trunk or Treat, bowling parties, bingo night, End of the Year Party). It makes it easy and fun to connect with other families.

We have loved our experience at St. Joe's thus far. We have a second grader there now and our younger son will start in Kindergarten in September. We love the strong sense of community, the focus on academics and especially the importance of being not only a part of the St. Joe's community, but also the community around us. My son has had the opportunity to be involved in several service events that have been organized by St. Joes. This is something that instills a sense of responsibility and a realization that not everyone is afforded the same lot in life.My son and my family have created strong bonds with the teachers and I have had an opportunity to be a part of the school on many levels (in the classroom, in the library, at major school events etc). I cannot recommend SJES highly enough. Do a tour and check it out for yourself!

Our son has been at St. Joe’s for two years now, and we couldn’t be happier! We were impressed right from our first school tour, and St. Joe’s has continued to exceed our expectations. Our son is thriving academically and socially, and our whole family has been welcomed into an amazing community of supportive and caring people. The teachers are passionate and instruct to the individual child, while still integrating the importance of serving each other and the community throughout their lessons. The curriculum is rigorous, but the focus is not only to have the students succeed academically, but also to be a good person. Our son loves his school, his teachers and the principal and sprints into the building each morning; each afternoon he’s picked up with a beaming smile, bursting to share his experiences from the day.

St. Joseph’s has been a fantastic decision for our family! The community spirit, engagement and passion of the teachers and staff and the the religious education are all phenomenal! Our children thrive academically and have an incredibly strong sense of community. Everyday when I drop my children off, they have smiles on their faces and go running in. I feel so at ease heading off to work, knowing they will carry those smiles throughout the day. As a parent of a severely allergic child, I also cannot stress enough how attentive the teachers and staff is to his safety. If you are even remotely considering St. Joseph’s definitely sign up for a tour. It has been a excellent decision for our family!

This has been one of the best decisions of our life. My son is well loved and cared for and I feel like we have a true partnership with his teacher in his education and character building. He has made so many amazing friends and we have been so happy there.

We have been so pleased with our decision to send our children to St. Joseph Elementary School. The comprehensive curriculum, innovative STREAM classes, amazingly creative music and art programs are just a few of the wonderful (though obvious) things to love about the school….but there are SO many other reasons why we love St. Joe’s. Every morning our children are greeted by a teacher or librarian or their principal with a warm welcome and called by name: “Good Morning XXX", "How are you today XXX", "Good luck with your project XXX”, "Have a great day XXX!” They are engaged and encouraged literally from the minute they enter the building until the moment they are dismissed. They feel like valued members of the school community, not just faces in a crowd. It is very important to us that when our children are in school they are motivated to be good students AND good people. We live in an area where we have wonderful schools and the opportunity to choose where we send our children; who will teach them, challenge them, and guide them every day. St. Joe’s has been the perfect fit for our family!

I am a teacher in my fifth year at St. Joseph Elementary. I am beyond fortunate to have the opportunity to teach at such a vibrant school. Starting as a novice teacher is a challenge in any school setting, but I received ample training and support from my colleagues who truly helped strengthen my understanding of the curriculum and welcomed me into the school culture. There are so many ways in which students can succeed and thrive at this school, appealing to varied forms of expression and intelligence. We offer programs to cultivate students’ love of math, music, and sports through different afterschool clubs. Students are also academically challenged through our classroom initiatives that are unlike other schools. Starting in pre-kindergarten, students begin our Latin and Greek Roots program, are designing authentic projects in STREAM, and reading sight words. To have a thriving school it is essential to set high expectations, which we do on a daily basis. Our principal has guided us to improving school initiatives and test scores, which are apparent in the rigor that is evident in classrooms from pre-k to fifth grade. I also work very closely with my grade level colleagues and we meet every day to discuss general goals and ideas for our students. We are more than a school, but a community of learners, both students and teachers alike. I cannot say enough about the parents’ continued dedication and love for the school. Their care is one of the reasons that this school truly stands out in the town of Needham. The continued communication between faculty and parents help students to succeed in our classrooms. Additionally, the ratio of students in each classroom allows for teachers to build close relationships and meet the need of every child. As I walk through the halls of the elementary building I always see children engaged and active in the learning process. It is a distinct privilege to work in such a positive setting.

This is our fifth year at St. Joe's, and we are very pleased with our experience. We have two children currently at the school - grades 1 and 3 - and we look forward to sending our youngest there in a few years. We are grateful to have one of the best Catholic schools right in our town - not only are the academics rigorous but the curriculum is impressive and top notch - from PreK, the kids receive quality instruction in all the major subjects plus Spanish, Religion, Latin/Greek, Art, Music, Gym, Library, and STREAM. Beyond the academics, the character of the school is what really shines - not only do the teachers reinforce values of honesty, integrity, and generosity everyday - but they are warm and caring individuals who truly have their students' best interest at heart. Yes, many of the teachers are young, but we have found them to be energetic, hard-working, eager to learn, and willing to go above and beyond for their students. In turn, the kids are kind and friendly, and the families comprise a special community that we are blessed to be a part of. When I asked my kids what they like best about their school, they told me their classmates and their teachers, and the special events and annual traditions like Trunk or Treat, Santa's Workshop, and Street Hockey Tournament. Our family happily and wholeheartedly recommends St. Joe's.

We loved the sense of commmnity when we first joined SJES. Over the years we have seen so much turnover and our children seemed to get the new teachers every year. Yes Catholic schools pay less than public but there is something else going on behind the scenes to have this many teachers leave year after year. They raised the tuition this year to keep the well loved teachers...6 teachers left by the beginning of the school year. It's such a shame. The families are fantastic and have built a great community and the administration is ruining the school. We gladly left SJES behind for public.

We absolutely LOVE St. Joe's. Both our children attend the school and the leadership, teachers, staff and community are warm, nurturing and wonderful.

We were very happy with the prior administration at this school. The current principal is not effective, but seems to have the backing of the Archdiocese. We have pulled our child from the school and do not regret it. Its too bad, this was once a great school and Parish. The teachers were wonderful and cared about religion. The new administration is more focused on finances and not providing a solid Catholic education.

I work at Saint Joe's and I really love my job! I have excellent training opportunities and resources available to me. Saint Joe's also has a very involved community, which makes it feel like a big family! My classroom is like a home that students feel comfortable to take risks and learn new things. The ratios are small, which allows for quality 1:1 instruction. Instruction and curriculum far surpasses state standards. Saint Joe's is more dynamic as it offers a STREAM curricula to prepare students for the 21st century expectations of engineering and design, as well as a multitude of other subject areas. Latin and Greek is taught, and then you will see students regularly use it (on their own) to decode new vocabulary in texts. I am a very proud teacher at Saint Joe's! I hope I see you in the halls of the World's Best School! Go Joeys!
