Many children attend this school purely out of local necessity.

I have attended this school for three years (since sixth grade). Most of the teachers are outstanding. However, some of the excellent teachers have either left the school or were fired/retired, etc. This is a very small school; around 500 children in grades 6-12. We are facing budget cuts and many things are being cut from this school and others around Campbell County. There are not many AP and Pre-AP courses to take, so if you or your child takes advanced courses, like me, William Campbell Combined School, sadly, is probably not the best choice when selecting a school. The band program is small, but we are, in my opinion, the closest group in the school. There are about 100 students enrolled in band classes. However, there are other courses to choose from starting in your eighth grade year, such as Art, French, Spanish, Chorus (Grades 9 and up), Basic Tech Drawing, Computer Applications, etc. I hope this helped you in your decision.
