Didn't think when I would start filling this out that they would all be negatives. But it's true they are. The school is very clickish. And if you're not a part of the click then you don't get the special treatment that others do. We have found the school to be very dishonorable so much to the fact that we attempted to contact the charter that oversees them and by another Lutheran school we were given some information. Apparently charges have been brought up against the school and its administration before but things just don't seem to stick. Imagine that. All I can say is that this was a terrible school that ruined my children so much that they are no longer Christian.

I would absolutely endorse Bethany to any parent or student. My honors middle school student transferred from middle school. We were looking for a peaceful and calm environment. One year later and we are joyfully playing at RECESS with other 8th graders. The student population was beyond welcoming to a new, shy student. My elementary student was also welcomed with open arms. Immediately included in play dates, birthday parties, and school functions. The teachers have been loving and they have both grown tremendously there. My biggest regret is we were not there earlier and my oldest children could not experience Bethany. Both my children will be adequately prepared for a college prep high school.

I attended Bethany from preschool all the way to eighth grade, so I think I am qualified to say that you would be better off sending your kids pretty much anywhere else. Their math and science curriculum is practically nonexistent. When I got to high school, it took me roughly a year or so to get my footing in these subjects. Before attending high school, I met with a counselor at the school who expressed doubt in Bethany's math education due to past students from Bethany struggling in their math courses. There is no leadership to be seen at Bethany. The curriculum remains largely unchanged year-to-year with no improvements, and attendance started dropping when I started preschool there, and almost 15 years later, it hasn't stopped dropping yet.One of my parents used to be a member of the school board and recalled a time when the principal at the time urged members to leave positive reviews here, so I would be wary of any reviews that sound too good to be true.In short, if you want your child to struggle in math and science later in life or be gaslit by teachers if they become a victim of bullying, then Bethany is right for you. If not, look elsewhere.

I cannot thank God enough for bringing our family to Bethany Lutheran Church and School. It is a place where the teaching of Christ crucified and risen for the forgiveness of our sins is placed front and center, both in the church and school. I have been more than delighted to see the spiritual growth in my sons as they have progressed through the grades. Not only does Bethany deliver solid, confessional Lutheran doctrine it's students go on to excel in the surrounding high schools. As a high school teacher in one of the neighboring districts I have had Bethany students come through my building and have seen how they perform academically and socially compared to their peers. The only difference you could see is how well they behave and with what respect they treat the staff, fellow students and the facilities. If you're worried that sending your child to Bethany will not give them the same academic foundation as the surrounding government schools, then you are mistaken. We are admonished to bring our children up in the faith, Bethany is a great place to do just that, in addition to preparing them for the academic rigors of the government schools. Look no further, your search is over!

What the school did to both of my children was horrendous. One they did not support with bullying. And the second they kicked out because they didn't want to answer the questions about bullying. As long as you're giving them lots of money things are great. However if you and your family don't have enough money to be a big donator. Don't expect them to be on your side if something negative were to happen. Just because you're in the right doesn't mean you'll win the fight.

I can only base this on my experience coming from a public school and transitioning into private. The opportunities provided were above what the public schools were providing. The teachers were effective, compassionate, and friendly. The other kids and families became our friends. As my last child is graduating, one does reflect on the decision to go to Bethany. I do not regret it for a moment.

Don’t be fooled by the bursts of 5 star ratings insinuating some kind of Christ-centered utopia that shields kids from the horrible and sinful real world. There’s just as much sin inside the walls of this school. The dates indicate the 5 star ratings are solicited reviews. You’ll be fine at this school if you always support the very controlled narrative, sing high praises about how awesome it is, and your child is the round peg who fits in. But buyer beware if you ever question them or provide constructive criticism. The disparity in praise and criticism in the ratings is concerning to say the least.

They’re main marketing strategy is scare tactics. They try to say public schools are awful and your kid will be attacked in public school, they are wrong. There’s more Christian love in public school than Bethany.

Bethany Lutheran is such a fantastic school! When you decide to send your kids to Bethany you are not only joining a great school but it feels like you are also gaining more family. Everyone is so welcoming! The academics are top notch and they also help your child to develop great character. Couldn't ask for a better school for my children!!

We absolutely adore Bethany! The teachers are attentive to each students individual needs. This is shown not only threw my kids excellent academic growth and the constant character building that they foster but also in the way that they bring joy to each child as they look forward to going to class each day. The community that revolves around the parents, teachers, students and leadership is really what a school should exemplify. Leadership is always visible and approachable as they welcome the kids walking into the building each day. Parents work together and are very involved in activities. We are very happy with our decision to move our kids to Bethany and look forward to years in the future.

Bethany is an amazing school! We are so proud of the education our daughter is receiving! She has advanced so much this year thanks to the work of her and her teacher. With the family feel and Lutheran base, we are happy we have this wonderful experience and school to create a solid, loving foundation!

With two children involved and 5 years experience with the school, I can attest to the top quality Christ-centered education the school provides. Teachers and administrators are accessible and kind. Their families are diverse and bring tremendous character to the classroom. Combined with the passion of the educators and the conservative approach to creating morale veracity in our children, I could not be happier.

This school is only average the classes are small they do not have a large amount of kids but its a small school and it also doesn't develop character in its students, like integrity, compassion and respect.

We highly recommend this school for many reasons! The teachers are outstanding and really care about the overall development of their students. It was wonderful to have Christ in the center of all that our kids do while at school for 8 hours a day! Our children had many opportunities to be involved in extra curricular activities as well as spelling bees, student council, geography bees, service projects, etc... Our oldest went to a top ranked middle school in the area but didn't have half of the experiences our younger two did at Bethany! In retrospect, we really wish we had sent him to Bethany because of all it has to offer! Our youngest is off to college this Fall and we feel blessed that BLS was a part of our lives!

Our kids went here a while and I would say this school is mediocre at best. It's not worth the tuition.

Bethany is a wonderful learning environment for students. They are given the opportunity to learn in a safe, nurturing environment. The students, teachers and administration work side by side on not just academic skills but also social/emotional skills. I am thrilled the school has implemented the "Second Step" Program into their curriculum. This has given the children tools to use as they interact daily with each other.

I agree with the posts regarding discipline and bullying. This school has some problems and at the top of the list is poor leadership.

Bethany has been a blessing to our family. Both of our children attend here and we are very confident that this is the best place for them. The staff goes above and beyond each day to ensure that our children's needs are being met academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. As a parent, I feel that these reasons help set the foundation for my children's lifetime love of learning. I truly enjoy being greeted by staff members each day. It is the small things like this that make Bethany so special. We feel like we are a part of a community where the people (staff and families) take a vested interest in our family on a daily basis. The relationships that have been formed in and out of school are bonds our family will have for a lifetime. The academics are such that the learning is truly reflected from each child's own learning ability. With having small class sizes, the teachers can effectively make adjustments to meet our child's needs. This is a big plus in my book as a parent. Students are challenged and assisted when needed. The overall culture of Bethany is very family-oriented. Our children know students from each grade in the building (from Preschool - 8th grade) due to their 'buddy program' which our children love. Sometimes just seeing a face in the hallway they know can make their day extra special. I love knowing that my children are well taken care of in so many ways by so many individuals. One of the hardest decisions is leaving your child in the care of someone that isn't a parent, close friend or relative. For our family, we don't have that decision to make, as Bethany is our family. My best advice for any family considering sending their child to Bethany is to go in for a tour. See first hand how God's love is changing lives each day.

Our children experienced a lot of unchristian behavior at this school and the staff seemed very reluctant to deal with it.

There is a lot of favoritism at this school. If you aren't part of the in-crowd, you are definitely on the outside and that can be difficult.
