Very happy with this school. Staff is friendly, it seems like everyone knows my daughter's name which make me feel great sending her to such a close knit environment. Great communication from the teachers and school.

3 years after we pulled my child from this school, I still have PTSD from the multiple incidents that took place. Extremely militant teaching style, motto for PI+ program is 'break them down so we can build them up.' This school is absolutely horrific for a child with special needs. We moved from the city to have our children attend this school and I ended up being in constant fear for my child's safety and mental health. Timing kindergarteners while they sit still and quiet and resetting the timer when a child moves or makes a noise is NOT OK and not good "training for first grade." Constant power struggles and extremely questionable choices from multiple teachers/learning support staff at this place. One suggestion from a member of the learning support team when my child refused to complete a repetitive worksheet of material mastered YEARS ago was to keep offering said worksheet daily until it was completed "even if that takes weeks." It took my child a full year to regain their love of learning. My child, now at a different public school, is given work several grades above their age level and is a happy, ready to learn student.

Meadow Glens excels at providing a fun and exciting learning environment for the students and my kids bring home amazing projects and worksheets that are waiting to be displayed. The teachers and administration, healthcare and social support are wonderful and responsive. Their online ordering delivers all your pre-picked supply kit directly to their classroom before the first day of school, school pickup/dropoff and buses run without a hitch, their artsonia.com integration for artwork, and PE program are all very well run and not present at other schools. The Covid measures were mindful with results available weekly, and my kids remained heathy aand safe. The many school events during the year bring the community together ending with the icecream social. The sports during PE and recess overlap and has brought the kids so much joy and new skills. There are always sports and play activities at parks built adjacent to the school where you will always see kids and not an empty lot after school. Their park district activities are extremely popular. Truly an amazing school and credit goes to all the teachers and staff. It's the best for a good reason.

All PI + classes ( there are 3) were relocated from Highlands and Steeple Run to Meadow Glens this year. The school that houses this program enjoys great teaching and resources. As a parent, you receive a large amount of communication about what is going on a vast amount more than we have received from other 203 schools our kids attended. The administration is not afraid to touch on safety issues and does just send out "happy, good pr news" ... they offer real world support and strive to help kids and parents do their best. The staff is beyond professional. Logistically the car pool lanes, bus lane and campus are modern and ideal in terms of safety -- beautiful park across the street. Lots of veteran 203 teachers are here to lend expertise -- no need to retire like other 203 schools. The school welcomes global diversity and manages it well so every child meets their potential. A great place. I wish all 203 schools were run like Meadow Glens.
