The environment at this school is not inclusive and detrimental to the emotional health of students. Bullies have been allowed to target children year after year seemingly without staff intervention.

Wonderful community of parents and the teachers are sweet, but the academics are lacking. The staff is on the younger/inexperienced side and it shows. The language arts curriculum is not at all rigorous and there is heavy reliance on technology/Chromebook after 1st grade. Many behavior issues, students wandering the halls, eloping, and having tantrums which interferes with the learning environment. Students are not held accountable and have little to no homework. Overall not what we had hoped.

Naper is a wonderful neighborhood elementary school. It’s small so you get to know the families and staff members know your child. The principal is very hands-on and involved with the students. The staff members are very positive, quick to reach out if there’s an issue and academically supportive if kids need support or enrichment. The LRC director is a gem and supports classrooms and many of the extras. The school offers many before/after school enrichment activities such as chess club, yoga, running club, art classes, Lego (Brickz for Kids) drama with an annual school play and so much more. The Home and School (PTO) is involved and supportive. There’s a school fun run, daddy daughter dance, mother and son night out, school carnival to kick off the school year and an ice cream social at the end of the year. Most of the children live close enough to walk to school so it’s truly a neighborhood school. Naper is a great elementary school with so much to offer.

As a parent of three children who have attended or are currently attending Naper Elementary School, we have had a continual positive experience here in countless ways. We look forward to each day (and year!) at Naper Elementary with excitement and satisfaction!

I've had three of my four kids attend Naper. They all love going to school here. It's small, just two classes per grade, so the teachers are accessible and the relationships are genuine. We've been at other public and private schools in CT, OH, and another district in IL, and by far this is our best experience with elementary school. Parents are very involved. The principal is engaged. She knows every one of her kids and is responsive. She has chosen a great staff. There is also a group of moms who gather to pray for the school and staff every week, the icing on the cake!

Great School!! Reminds me of the school I attended. Ms. Bibby is awesome! Our daughter loves going to school each morning and has a smile on her face at the end of the school day!

I love this school. They know my son very well and not for the bad reasons. I get phone calls when hes not at school making sure i am aware. The secretary office assistant Mary Pat , is so so so wonderful. She is so organized and told me about scholarships i can apply for. My husband had lost his job and she made me aware of everything I could qualify for. Shes a blessing and though I am not as familiar with the other office staff, everyone has been nothing but supportive , motivating and patient. Fortunately my husband works now and we didnt need any of the states help. But when things get tough it is important to have someone who can help you along the way.
