My child attends the CARES program in this school and is in the 1st grade. So far he loves his teacher Ms Anthoney and has been learning a lot there including how to share, sing songs, write his name, count and various other grade level education points. He has come out of his shell as well and is no longer shy like before. I cannot speak for the regular portion of the school, the general education section. I can only speak for the CARES program and having a child with autism is hard enough but to have caring teachers and an excellent bus driver who's well trained with kids who have special needs, I couldn't ask for a better situation for my son.

I am proud to say that i had a great four years at this school. I had helpful teachers and i thrived throuhgout the time i was here. Most teachers are great and very helpful. It was also a small town so was the only school and i liked that. I moved to start jr high. Best school in my opinion.

My children have been in MES that is our school its in our community , we all know its not the best and yes it needs some big changes im a proud parent of 3 and i volunteer 4 out of 5 days a week ,we have SOME good teachers , and well what can i say there is some that i don't even know how they got there but i dont think that the solution is taking our kids out of MES i just think that is time for a change but a good wipe out and start fresh theres some good teachers that i have to mention Mr.Carol ,Mrs.Burdick Mrs Guilliam Mrs. Day to me they are the best ... Next year we wont even have a principal we will see how that works out ...... I think parents need to be more involved in there childrens education .. Our school deserves to win this money we do need a little extra push .

When my child first attended MES, I loved it. But from the 3rd grade on, it's falling downhill quickly. She had a bad teacher that hated her and other teachers told me that this teacher did this every year. So now she has behavior problems and is hated by most. Her teachers seem to not like her and dismiss her all the time. She is allowed to be bullied and called names and nothing is done. She hits someone and gets suspended yet if someone hits her, they are only made to apologize. One kid has threatened her life and our life as well. She has come home from the bus with a bloody nose and red marks on her face from something that started at school and carried over on the bus. This school needs to fold and our kids be bused somewhere else. There are only a couple of teachers that I've come in contact with who even seem to care, the rest are just there for a paycheck. I keep her there because I feel I have no other options. And the office lady is rude to kids and should find another profession. If you can't handle children, get a job that doesn't have you around them.

Unfortunately we are at our wits end with this school. There is no respect for rules, children are rowdy, and openly dismiss teacher direction. My children are attaining A's yet are completely unchallenged, and falling behind the rest of the country. The parents are not involved at even a basic level; students do not show up on time or even at all. There have not been any projects due, minimal homework, and no efforts in the way of enrichment programs. They will NOT be attending next year. We wanted our children to help make a difference with us in the town/school, but I refuse to jeopardize their education in the effort to give back to the community. I do NOT recommend this school, your children deserve better.

This school is the WORST school ever! My child has been in an unacceptable environment and I WILL NOT subject my child to this anymore. If your a parent who values your child's environment and education, then DO NOT enroll them here!
