i just started going here and i just have to say, the kids here are honestly for some reason really rude and almost never get enough of a talk. the teachers are amazing but if you do want to take your kid here, expect them to probably either be the bully or be bullied.

As someone who is currently going to this school I believe these teachers NEED to learn how to talk to kids. I mean the disrespect unacceptable, for example: my friend (female) asked to go to the restroom and even told the teacher that she was on her period and really needed to go, the teacher looked at her, rolled his eyes and and said "I'm sure youre going to be okay" and "it's not like you're going to die". Which is very disrespectful, a parent wouldn't even say something like that. Bullies:as someone who did/does it bullied, these kids are able to find so many ways to bully you, and no matter how many kids told the teachers about the bullies they wouldn't do anything. Subs: I once had sub that smelled like cigarettes and I had him more then once even after we told the teacher.

This school is terrible! They allowing bullying in this school and don’t do anything about it. CCPS needs to bring back their zero tolerance policy and hold these bullies accountable

A zero, we moved to this neighborhood to put my child in a better school , turns out she learned about smoking from her classmates, sex from her class mates, drinking from her classmates, and sneaking out the house from her classmates, horrible kids in this community which makes the school a haven for terrible kids,,, so terrible the bus drivers quit... horrible

My son is in the 8th grade this year and has really enjoyed being a student at this school. He's in honors classes and has had teachers all three years who really seem to care about him and encourage him. The principal is very involved in every activity and she always sends a weekly email to keep parents aware of what's going on in the school. The front office staff are very courteous and professional. I really have nothing negative to say about Bailey Bridge Middle!

1st I have noticed reviews and ratings from 1 star to several stars. My son just finished his 6th grade year 2015-2016. He has an IEP and the school followed this LEGAL DOCUMENT about 1/2 of the time through the year. I asked in 2 separate meetings about his accommodations that he very much needs. They went "by the wayside!" I contacted teachers to the point they or someone went to the 6th grade assistant principal and complained about how often I emailed. Well....I am my child's biggest advocate. He works very hard. If a teacher can't find time at some point during the day to respond and would much rather go complain about me that's fine because I will always advocate for my autistic child. It's unfortunate the assistant principal had to be bothered when he has plenty of other things going on. I have taught for 13 years and always responded to my parents concerns the same day ... Even if I had to take care of it at night while home with my own family. I sure hope things change as far as how he's treated starting in 7th grade; otherwise, I won't go to the principal I will be at central office/school board. That's not how it's suppose to be. This has never been the kind of parent I am. I'm so easy to get along with....yes it's going to get more difficult as the years progress but he is autistic and has needs that are not being met. Please make some changes to how the staff members operate....there are SEVERAL AWESOME TEACHERS ... While others are not giving my son the proper attention he needs.

I was at Bailey Bridge Middle school the previous year for 6th grade and there are many aspects of school life which I enjoyed. I enjoyed almost all of my main 4 subject classes, except for Honors Science because it wasn't interactive enough because the teacher would put on Bill Nye and proceed to go on her phone. Honors 6th English was below my reading level, and we rarely practiced our writing skills. The gym classes are crowded and the atmosphere is very stressful. In my chosen elective class Chorus I go migraines because of the loud piano, and I felt left out. I think the school could improve by having smaller class sizes, and being more attentive to the students needs. They need make the classes more interactive so students can get the most out of their education.

I am so happy that this is my child's last year at this school! We have lived in several places and this is the worst school I have ever seen! My child was bullied in 6th and 7th grades, but because the bullies were "popular kids", nothing was done to resolve the issue. My child is in all honors classes, but still receives projects that require them use color pencils and construction paper. I don't know the process to select kids for honors classes, but it needs to be evaluating the kids based on their grades and character and not just because a parent demands their child to be in those classes. Most of the kids are disruptive in class and it negatively affects kids who are really there to learn. There are rumors of "upper honors" classes, but no one in the administration will tell you about it. It must be reserved for a select few. This school is not heavily focused on academics, but there are some teachers that go above and beyond the call of duty. My suggestion to the school would be to streamline the honors classes selection process; focus more on academics; incorporate more IT with assignments; and properly address bullying issues even when a popular student is accused!
