After years of charter schools we decided to make the switch to FCS. We were no strangers to the school as our nieces graduated from the school and we had several nephews currently attending. My only wish is that we had the resources to have placed them in this great environment since the beginning of their academic lives.

Our experience at FCS has been wonderful! My son began in 6th grade and my daughter in 5th. My children are advanced and came from a rigorous Magnet school. I find FCS to be up to par academically and they are making improvements as they go along. FCS also has many opportunities for involvement offering sports and activities throughout the year. They take care of the family as a whole and students spiritual growth!

I have been a parent with this school since 2007. Sadly, for the evangelical community in Miami , this school is failing in many aspects. The new administration has destroyed the school and the sense of a family in Christ that this place once had. It is with tears in my eyes that I am pulling my son out next year. I can not tolerate the academically and spiritual degradation in this institution right now. May the Lord have mercy upon this place that one day were my kids favorite place. Very sad to see this new reality !!!

Bullying is a huge problem in middle school. Even after it has been brought to the attention of teachers, counselors and administration. Nothing was done to correct the issue. Pulling my child out after only attending 1 year, for her mental health.

Lower elementary, some upper elementary, and some high school practices very good. Some upper elementary, most middle school practices, and some high school practices poor.

My child has attended FCS for 5 years and he loves his school. The teachers are supportive, encouraging, and challenging. But above all, they share their faith with the kids to help them to grow as Christians and into well rounded and educated young adults.

Lower Elementary, excellent. 5th Grade, (except an excellent 5th grade Math teacher) and Middle School, poor.

Very poor. We have been with the school many years and have witnessed the decline in attention and care to parent concerns and overall student wellness and education.

My child has been attending FCS for 4 years. This has been the best school experience she has ever had. Attending this school is the greatest blessing and privilege. I am beyond thankful for each staff member employee of FCS, even the housekeepers and maintenance crew are so kind and full of light. I highly recommend FCS to all families.

We have had the honor of being part of the FCS family for 3 years now. My older daughter is a senior and is so sad to leave. She absolutely loves her school! My younger daughter is in 7th grade. She also loves her school. They have both made incredible friendships, grown spiritually, and have been challenged academically throughout their time here. FCS is filled with caring teachers and a nurturing environment offering many opportunities. My girls have participated in both sports and the the fine arts, and have experienced trips of a lifetime with their friends and teachers. This place has truly become a second home.

My family has had a 5 star experience at Florida Christian. The Biblical foundation is excellent preparing my boys to be great Christian young men. The educational experience has been fantastic as well. The teachers are very involved and care for their students. Having an environment where my children can have a great educational experience as well as continued teaching in Biblical truths are an amazing combination that prepares them for college and for life.

As a former student, please take my advice and do not enroll your child in this school! 90% of the teachers at this school act like a bunch of high schoolers themselves. They gossip about students and even bully students they do not like! It is a complete and total joke. The amount of times I heard teachers saying awful things about students is absolutely sad, especially for a school that claims to be based in a Christian values! Absolutely ridiculous. If you care about your child and their mental health, do not enroll them here.

My children attended FCS from 3K through 12th grade, and it couldn’t have been a more delightful experience. In fact, it was life changing. FCS is family oriented and God-centered. They believe in a well-rounded education. In addition to a challenging curriculum, they embrace the arts, music, and sports. They manage their funds well and have grown at a healthy pace over the years. The faculty was always loving and gracious with my kids and extended an open door policy to me. I recall being shocked they gave out their home phone numbers!During my enrollment interview when my oldest was entering 3K, Dr. Andrews (Headmaster) said something I have not forgotten. He told me there are three elements at play when bringing up children – home, church and school. When all three are closely aligned philosophically, better results typically follow. At the time, we weren’t fully aligned in those three areas. However, exposure to the Bible and the people at FCS impacted my children and ultimately me. Alignment soon followed. When people tell me I did a good job raising my kids, I always tell them I had help. I tell them about FCS. The decision to attend FCS was life changing for my family. A decision that will last through eternity. “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it”. Proverbs 22:6I think it’s important to note that while my experience as a parent was positive, the better barometer might be from the child’s perspective. Not too long ago I asked both my kids if they were glad they went to FCS. Their resounding “yes” put a smile on my heart. The sacrifice was worth it! Keep up the good work, FCS. There are more like us who need what you give.

Keep your high school student away from here! This is the worst Administration you could ask for. They are greedy and only concerned about tuition. Staff is mostly Alumni and/or Family members of Administration (so they can hide stuff under the rug). They will teach your kids about the Christian faith and to keep their bibles close, but nothing they preach is practice at this institution. Save your money!

I've had an excellent experience and recommend this school. Hope people realize the great opportunities that they are given at this school.

My honest rating of this school is a 1 for middle and high school. The academic program at this school is awful. Teachers are below average and they never leave. Many teachers have kids going to this school free of charge because they work there. The tuition is very high for the quality. You will have to give extra money to some of the teachers for "tutoring" your kids after school, because during the day, apparently they are too busy to actually go over the lessons correctly. Many students seem unmotivated at this school. Go somewhere else before you spend your money here.

After investing several years at this Christian school, I have come to the sad realization that it does not live up to what I had hoped. At the middle and high school level, academics are not keeping up with competition from other schools. They emphasize the importance of a Christian based education and faith, however, I have seen many at the school behaving in contradiction to what they preach. Administration has consistently raised tuition for the same old program. Teachers seem to be on a life long contract at this school. Sports programs could be much better. If you are considering this school, my advice would be to talk to other parents and kids before making a decision to go there for middle or high school. Its just not worth the money in my view.

Florida Christian is a great Elementary School. However at their middle and high school level they continue to decline. Nothing new has been added to the curriculum or academic program in years. Many teachers could do better in their teaching abilities and support of their students. Administration doesn't seem to understand the need to move up with the times. They also tend to favor students (of their own staff) over others. The Christian foundation is great, but that is not the only factor needed to be successful in life. I would not recommend this school at the middle or high school level.

My kids are there because it's convinient and a good safe environment. However, this year the Board and Mr. Andrews decided to increase tuition again! School is not improving, teachers have not changed for years, and nothing is included (no books, no uniform, no fees, nothing). Extremely expensive for middle-high for what they are offering to students. I can't stand hearing middle and high school kids continue saying that they did not learn anythign at these levels. Middle and High needs a huge revamp. academically. Kids are leaving to new charter schools in the area or other, even home school. I hope my I am able to convince my husband that I know keeping them there for the long run is not the necessarily the best. Did I say I am a teacher myself?
