This school is like Gotham City, as in the dark side of life. And this is coming from me born in 2003. 75% of teachers are there to make your life miserable, and most of the good ones ended up leaving after a few years. Favouritism and bullying from the teachers and favourite kids was at an all time high. The first principal was really great but it's only tough here. People there take the most ridiculous orders blindly, could get away with slacking off or bullying (unless the teacher doesn't like you). Even teachers could get away with lying, when taught us not to. I attended this school for the first two years before moving elsewhere but it was enough to see the decline of my classmates and other kids behaviours there.

One of the best schools. The staff is amazing the teachers really care for the kids they continue to update and invest on the property. It is a great community feels like family. Extremely safe which is my top priority and also great in academics.

The new STEAM class addition is a waste of time I currently have a 6 going to 7th grade schooler and he says they learn nothing in this class and it’s all useless information and that what he should be learning is in Hustlers University and how it REALLY prepares you for life and at first I didn’t believe him but after reviewing the content I think Hustlers university is a better teaching platform than this school ever will be

—Principal ignores emails from parents (unless you are related to someone in the school or you make big donations). —Felix Varela Director is useless. She basically is in charge of recruiting kids for the program but doesn’t work on enhancing the program. —Expect your child to get bullied and no one does anything about it. Everyone will just look the other way or just pretend it’s no big deal.—There is a lack of diversity in students and teachers. There is only 3 male teachers in the whole school and 2 of them are for PE.—Their sports teams are terrible. The sports director is very unorganized. The drafting of teams is very late. Expect to have a practice and the same week the first game. Kids are set up for failure.—You never see the principal, priest, Director or vice principal attending games or having an interest in kids sports. It’s like they just want to have teams so they can check the box that they offer sports.—Overall, the school lacks parent engagement. They don’t do anything to collect feedback and really look into any issues. They have parents spend so much money in Halloween activities that it’s very sad. It would be so much better if they would donate that to kids in need or taught children how to be compassionate and kind. However, they do email and send flyers home for continued donations.

Everyday I went to this school I felt miserable some of the teachers were biased towards popular students and only seemed to care about the gossip rather than failing students no teacher ever asked me as a student why I didn’t turn in my assignments once or twice a week which should be concerning and don’t get me started with the counselor who does nothing to try and help students I was teased pushed and even had pizza crusts thrown at me and the teachers did not care some teachers would verbally humiliate students in front of other students there aren’t any clubs and the few that there are subpar they give a bunch of extra useless classes just so in the end you don’t even end up with any extra credit afterwards I genuinely never want to hear anything about this school again because I’m disgusted by the fact that it still operates as a school and not a jail the school is extremely cramped as well honestly I hope some really great faculty members leave the school immediately and find better jobs elsewhere when you look at the amount of diversity there is or was at the school you should already get an idea of how horrible this place is anyways I hope this school improves so I can change my opinion in the future but for now you’re better off leaving your kids at a public school or a private school 1-2 hours away than this school

I do not like this school and I do not recommend it some teachers yell and scream at students when they do anything wrong instead of going up calmly and helping them instead of causing a whole scene the school lacks in diversity and ever since last year I had seen no back teacher at the school but now after the BLM movement they decide to hire people of different races the schedule is ridiculous my child has 10 periods a day with a total of 13 classes every day she comes home and tells me she can’t do this because it’s to stressing I've talked to the counselor but the counselor doesn’t care

Best school ever! Academic program is superb. My children enjoy studying here and see the school as a 2nd home.

The school has a very weak curriculum, the majority of the teachers do not challenge the kids. The upper grade math teacher/program is abysmal. If you want your kids to be prepared for highschool please look for another school.

This school is hopelessly overcrowded with sub-par facilities. Overall, the staff and administration is corrupt, uncaring and generally disinterested in any particular student's individual needs. It has a terrible culture and embodies the worse aspects of Miami culture. Most of the parents appear to be mostly interested in socializing and giving off the appearance that they are more wealthy than they actually are. There is no true diversity - the school is 99.9% Hispanic. It fails to live up to any genuine Catholic ideas and exist mostly so that the parents can feel better about themselves and tell others--who are less aware--that they have their children in a "private school." But worse of all, this school is academically on par with only your typical inferior public schools located in the Miami area.It would be wise to stay away from this festering garbage heap of an institution.

This school does not support the catholic ideals it claims to support.

The best decision We've made as parents is to have changed my son from a catholic school in Hialeah and bring him here. My son has been welcomed, no more bullying. the teachers respect and love him, he is being challenged academically, the principal and her staff are GREAT! I feel as if we've been here our whole life.

Worst school ever! They don't care about your child they care about your money. The teachers are the bullies not the students. If they don't like your child they will make your life miserable.

My son just started this year and it has been a great experience. He came from the public school system and it is such a relief not having such stress over so many state exams. The teachers are there to teach and educate students, not to teach a test.

There is not enough I can say about our second home for the last 11 years. The teachers are amazing, they give 100% on a daily basis and will go out of their way to make a child feel safe and want to learn. The administration is welcoming and knows every child by name. These individuals love what they do and are not afraid to show it.

My daughter started at SBE in 5th grade after leaving a private, independent school that "boasted" about its academic and family atmosphere but did not deliver! SBE's mission statement are not just words. they truly practice what they preach. The new administration promotes challenging academics while integrating their Catholic identity throughout the school and community. Students are taught that academics is a means by which to help others. So glad we found. School that actually practices what they preach! BTW: We rock Academic Olympics!

Our daughters have been at SBE for 6 years now. Excellent environment, some great teachers along the way, increasing use of technology and, for the past several years, outstanding leadership. The new Principal is taking many advancements to the next level.
