I have had 3 daughters go through Shepherd. They enjoyed their time. Two are now at ASU doing well and the third is in high school doing great. They liked most of their teachers and enjoyed Choir and Musical Theater. They were ready for high school with their math but that is because they worked hard and did their work. My daughters say many kids do not do their work and fall behind.

As a parent, I appreciate Shepherd's care and concern for the welfare of their students. My daughters have had great experiences with Shepherd teachers and staff, and were encouraged not only to do well in school, but to show good character and kindness for other students. There are several elective options that aren't available at most other junior high schools, and that has given my girls some really neat experiences with things they might not get to do elsewhere. Shepherd Jr. High is a good place for kids to feel safe, valued and encouraged!!

From our initial parent student orientation to our daily academic experience, we have found our Son's experience at Shepherd Jr. High, to exceed our hopes and expectations. He has enjoyed and been challenged in his honors classes. His involvement in men's choir and musical theatre have been pivotal life changing experiences for him as well as all students who participate. He has had opportunities to participate in various clubs and extracurricular activities and meet other great students in the process. His teachers have been dedicated to helping their students excel in academics as well as individuals.

Shepherd Junior High has been our school of choice for all of our children. We have been welcomed by staff and administrators every time we are at the school. Teachers are caring and work to help their students with any thing they need wether it’s about homework or life. We have loved our experience at shepherd.

Excellent teachers! Amazing administration! They really work with families and are supportive. Really amazing science and performing arts programs. Great patent groups. Great communication!!!!

Not good. I am so happy that this week is my childs last week at this school. Hoping high school will be better...

In the past this was a very well run school but is declining quickly.

This school has a problem with over discipline, they just don't want to deal with anything and they allow children to make false accusations another. Then punish the child due to what the children say. This is not right, and sets the children up to be able to get someone in trouble even if they didn't do anything. The punishments given at this school are extremely ridiculous for such said petty disturbances. Things I would not discipline a child for. I've been so shocked at the absence of proffessionalism here that I'm very glad my child is now at a great school that is for the children and she's never done better!
