My experience with this school has been extremely poor since my second of 5 children attended! They are not very concerned with student safety until blood shed! You can call and express your concerns or even show up and express them, their first course of action is a no contact contract!! WHAT is a piece of paper gonna stop?? The teachers treat your kids as if they were the same as their siblings before them! They have zero respect for the kids but demand it themselves! NOPE sorry that is a two way street, my girls will start off respectful but treat them accordingly or they will give you back what you give them!!! I'm very disappointed with the way this school has turned since my oldest attended there and unfortunately I have 3 more to go through it, hopefully I can convince them to change but they don't want to leave their friends!

Been around the school for a few years since the grand kids have been going to Red Mtn High. 2023 graduation was very disappointing as far as being able to hear anything at all. During football season Tempe can hear the calls from the game and all the announcements. Tonight, there's a bunch of small speakers on the field that echo and the speakers cannot be understood. The sound needs to be routed through the ballgame announcement speakers overhead so the people in the stands that support the school can hear what the heck is being said. Ya'll dropped the ball on this. Very bad deal. Get on the ball and use the speakers for the field no matter what the game. Come on, get a grip.!!!

We have been fairly happy with the school. I have two very different teens going there. Their needs and interests are being met by the school. We have only had a less than great experience with one educator. Even that one is okay. Everyone else has been great.

From my own experience, this school achieves many basic standards and exceeds many others. The staff is eminent, the opportunities that students are given are outstanding, and the teaching methods are well thought out. RMHS is a great school for students to attend.

Great school! I enjoy going to school every day now, and there are tons of fun clubs and extracurricular activities

Horrible. From before the first day, I had issues with getting phone answered by anyone, calls not returned, when there is a problem, and I want to discuss, no one wants to hear it or take the time.

This is the only campus in the state, that we could find, providing PLTW Biomed, PLTW Engineering, First Robotics, Biotechnology Research, AP Capstone, and Unified PE/Drama. Top notch Performing Arts, Athletics, Activities and Academics, that really set them apart from campuses across the state.

My daughter is currently a senior at RMHS and my two younger kids will also attend here. I wouldn't consider sending them anywhere else. A wide variety of programs allowed my daughter to try out a range of interests. She found her place in the Biomed program which is only offered in Mesa at RM. Her teachers have always been accessible and supportive. LOVE this school.

This is a great school that seems to always be ahead of the curve. There are places for improvement but they are far and wide ahead of the pack!!!!

This school once was better. They sell it to you pretty good, you walk away amazed when you are introduced to the school and all they offer. But it is mostly a front for an organization that struggles to be just average of what one should expect in this area. Look at the Great Schools grade, a 7 now in 2016, they used to be higher just 3 years ago when we sought out RMHS. School wide AIMS test proficiency: Science 71%, Algebra 41%, English 31%. Look at those scores! Sad for one of the leading schools in AZ. Some teachers are great, others are there just to get by. My child has classes where the teacher does almost nothing, kids are on their cell phones each day and they are basically feed something easy to grade once in a while. Quality of teaching and grading is luck of the draw. You may get the great teacher or you may get the bad one. They both can have different homework standards, and different grading standards for the same class. Administration lets them do whatever they feel. Science is a joke compared public school curriculum I had in the 80's. They learn next to nothing hands on. Music/Art has been hit or miss & programs have had turmoil, and I think even heard of outside investigation for a program in the past. Teachers seem to leave as soon as a better opportunity arises. I have seen surprising turnover the last few years. Out of 6 classes, my student has 2 long term subs and one teacher just quit without notice. How is that for stability? If your student is a good learner, it should be no problem for them to do well, it just seems to be geared to passing at a lower level than I hope. No proof of that, but it seems like it is not much of a challenge to get by. It is no wonder Arizona ranks bottom in the nation. Be aware, there is also a bit of favoritism. Your student may get special treatment if you are from the right ward, social circle, prior RMHS family or from "The Academy." I see it often, and yes it probably happens everywhere. Just don't be surprised when little johnny doesn't get the part they deserve after putting in some seriously hard work. It is a big school. Sports tend to do well. But other clubs and offerings can be good or bad. They have many tracts and diploma types, and sometimes this will limit your child rather than help. This school made national news for the silly Year Book incident.

This school has great, passionate leadership. Our son has so many opportunities that his older brother did not have at a charter school. This is a school of choice for us and we are very thankful we chose RMHS!

This may be the best school Mesa, but it doesn't compare with east coast school. Overcrowded it's nearly impossible to get the classes my child needs to graduate. Unless your child's future ivolves sports I would find another school.

Red Mountain High School is amazing. The teachers and administrators are wonderful and eager to help! 2 years ago the top choir and orchestra students were invited to perform an hour concert at Carnegie Hall, and this year the choir was invited AGAIN to perform at Carnegie Hall with Eric Whitaker, which they did. This school has a top performing arts program, (drama, choir, orchestra, band, dance, etc), but excels in so many other areas, there is something of interest for every student. Many families get boundary exceptions to attend this school. My 3 students all graduated from R.M....they are very different and they all loved the school, and found their own clubs and activities to be involved in. Sports, creative arts, FAA, engineering, robotics, this school has it all! Red Mountain strives for academic excellence, and provides great support for students who may be struggling. Many graduating students receive large scholarship offers from top universities. There are also opportunities for parents to be involved. Everyone should be lucky enough to attend a school like this!

i like this school, most all the teachers are nice and after a day or two it seems so natural to be walking around, The classes can be challenging and the teachers go into detail on their topics to let kids be able to understand or ask question. :)

Horrible school. Teachers are inadequate and do not have control of their classrooms. Unless your are in sports your child is overlooked and will not get the attention they deserve. Classes are over filled. If you have a choice send you child elsewhere.
