Elementary school is an essential foundation for every child’s academic and social development. As a parent of a current student, I can confidently say that my child’s elementary school experience has been one of the most memorable and valuable periods of her life. One of the things I appreciate the most about this school is the teachers. They are patient, kind, and passionate about their work. They always take the time to explain concepts and answer questions, which is making her learning enjoyable and engaging. The teachers also organized many activities and events that have helped her develop teamwork, leadership, and communication skills. Another aspect of my child’s elementary school that I love is the sense of community. The school is like a big family, and everyone looks out for one another. We have had many opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities such as music, chess club, lego club, drawing, and running club which has helped her make friends and discover new interests. Overall, our experience at Las Sendas elementary school has been one that we will cherish. It is providing a solid foundation for my child’s academic and social development, and I am grateful for the many wonderful memories and experiences that are there. I am a firm believer that every child deserves a high-quality elementary education that prepares them for success in life, and Las Sendas Elementary is certainly achieving this goal.

The principal definitely is a problem at this school! He’s a bully and will put your child down once they’ve been targeted by him. He makes it clear that he cares about status as he always brings up parents of students who have played a professional sport or has a connection somehow. He truly cares about the wrong things and he’s made it clear several times that he doesn’t have the children’s best interests at heart. So if you have some type of “high status” or professional sports connection, you’re good with the principal and your children will have zero problems at this school. On the other hand if you’re none of those things, chances are your child will have problems at this school if they ever get on the principal’s radar!

Las Sendas Elementary is an excellent school. My child thrived there. The principal and teachers care about the students. And the music program is absolutely amazing.

Please read before you enroll. This school has NO diversity. I was warned by several parents before I enrolled my child. 4 out of the 5 kids in my gated community were bullied and decided to leave the school because of it. One was called a racial slur by his teacher. I didn't think this would happen to my kid, because she had many friends at her previous grade school and made friends easily. At Las Sendas, she was bullied by girls and boys, who said horrible, inappropriate, sexist, and racist things to her, and left her to sit alone at the lunch table. It's hard to believe kids can be that mean. She finally told me how bad it was years later when she understood what those words meant.The real problem with this school is the principal, and it all trickles down from there. He is a bully. Many parents have had issues with him. The school needs to catch up with 2021.

Our family has experienced nothing but incredible growth & support while at Las Sendas. The principal has an open door policy & provides choice for families while being willing to guide & encourage the entire process/year. Every teacher is FANTASTIC. We are proud to be Las Sendas Coyotes.

So far we are not very happy. They lack good communication skills and the principle is less than caring and not open to hearing parent's out. It's his way or no way.

Two of our children are coyotes at Las Sendas. The administration is transparent, the teachers are caring and supportive, and parents support the school with their time and are involved without suffocating the faculty.

Great teachers, staff, volunteers, and leadership. Community is closely involved through PTA and volunteering. Very happy to have two kids attend here.

Class ratios are high. The principal doesn't seem to have much heart for the kids. Interactions have not been very thoughtful or coming from a place of love. Warned me about my student becoming "that kid" after a small playground incident. Thought that was fairly unprofessional, especially since it was said in front of my student. Front office staff is less than friendly (1 is nice). During the parent night, my kindergartner said "Wow [teacher name] must be super happy. She's never this nice normally. She's always frowning and mad."

The fantastic teachers and involved parents make this school outstanding! Suzuki Violin, enrichment programs, intramural sports, technology... it has everything that a top private school offers right in our back yard through Mesa Public Schools.

We moved into this area from another state specifically for this school and have not regretted our decision. It has been amazing watching our children both excel in their learning and love of learning. The teachers and Principal have been incredibly responsive to our concerns and needs. Our transition to this community has been fantastic and we look forward to many great years here!

I've been at Las Sendas from Kindergarten to sixth grade and I can't really complain. With this school being mostly an outdoor school, it has a welcoming, serene effect. But I believe the teachers and staff could show more consideration to students and parents. I'm not saying that all my teachers were horrible, in fact I loved most. But for example, my current teacher, as well as the three others following her from fifth, fourth, and second grade, seemed not to care about the students at all, had no patience when one made a mistake, and seemed to treat others differently due to their intelligence level. The principle this year though, cares enough to visit students in class, or play the occasional game of soccer with the fourth graders, but the staff overall could show more care to the people in their school. I'd give LS three stars just because of the majority of its staff.
