My time with this school as beyond terrible. And did nothing for me besides two things: learning how to site evidence and worsening my mental health. The bullying here is insane. Kids are constantly being homophobic, transphobic, and racist. And almost every time it goes overlooked. People promise they do things "behind the scenes" and NOTHING gets done. There are fights constantly, and once while at this school I was sobbing because of something. I had been being bullied almost all year (nothing ever got done btw lol) and I finally snapped and couldn't take it anymore. And what did the teacher do? Seeing this eleven year old kid sob in front of them? They told me I should go back to class and "focus in my education". I was told to kill myself multiple times here, and news fricking flash, after a kid is told that for almost three's years of their life, it kind of affects them!! (Shocking, I know.) I was always told thing by other students that made me crazy uncomfortable, eventually leading to me only ever wearing hoodies and stuff. I cried enough tears to turn a desert into a thriving rainforest because of this place. I constantly asked myself why I deserved this, because if I didn't deserve it it would have stopped. I wanted to know why everyone hated me. I wanted to know why they wanted me to die. I could go into immense detail about this school system and the things that have happened there, but I won't. But I will say this, parents, PLEASE, spare your kids of the experience they would go through here. Online school, other schools homeschool, ANYTHING. But just not this. Don't let the people at this place convince your child that they are useless or stupid or deserve to die.

I totally don’t feel welcome here. My kids get bullied every single day and the teachers don’t care and there are fights here a lot. If you are looking for a school to put your child in DO NOT PICK THIS ONE. Go to Memorial my kids are happy there now.

My experience attending Shore hasn't been positive in the slightest, it has worsened my mental health severely and in all honesty, I feel bad for any of the students who are currently attending and will be attending in the furture, I barely learned anything here and I was very much left behind.

I have had three children go through Shore, and we all think it's great! There are classes for gifted students, as well as those with learning disabilities. The teachers are very effective, up to date with new technologies, and genuinely invested in the students. Between clubs and sports, kids can find just about any extracurricular activity they enjoy. The school and the district take a firm stance against bullying, and I was very impressed with their approach. Some of these other reviews are 10 years old! I am a current parent, and I can really say Shore is a wonderful school.

Too much bullying being allowed to take place. Principal, assistant principal and teachers are all unaware of what goes on in classrooms and with students. They are quick to blame others instead of admiting their own inadequacies as educators. They rely on students for information when they should be aware themselves. My child was assaulted and they did not contact either parent for 4 hours. Then they tried to cover it up in a report.

We were unsatisfied with our experience working with Shore and hope that the circumstances improve.

The majority of the 6th grade teachers are great. They have good communication with my son & myself. Sometimes they are late in getting grades into parent portal & some teachers aren't good at keeping up with the homework hub which makes it difficult at times. But the kids have direct contact through schoology with each teacher so it teaches them to be responsible .We had one impossible LA teacher that was very frustrating & needs to retire. Many discussions & meetings & yet no resolution. I just gave up on that class it wasn't worth the aggravation. I love the school psychologist & support staff & vice principal for my son( who has ADHD). He will be getting the additional help that he needs in writing this fall. They are getting I-pads for all students this fall as well. My son was able to take a robotics class this past year that he loved. The principal is great. He has no tolerance for Bullying. I love that! My son had a smooth transition into middle school, better than I expected. This is a great school.
