Academically I give MHS a good rating. Both of my students liked the vast selection of courses and extracurriculars to choose from. They enjoyed having electives in their areas of interest. When choosing where to live in Lake County, it seemed to be the best choice.

Truly outstanding services to the students. Countless clubs, organization, extracurriculars, sports, etc. Growth and advancement for students, faculty, technology are constant. Mentor he been awarded millions of dollars in grants due to being an exceptional district and the updates that they're making are state-of-the-art, even though, admittedly, the building is old and leaves something to be desired.

As a current senior student here, I can honestly say the past several years at this school have been the best of my life so far. Between the friends and memories made in clubs and activities to the supportive staff and challenging curriculum, I do not have a single complaint. Mentor High is the epitome of strong AAA schools--Academics, Athletics, and Arts. Each has strong programs that are thoroughly supported by school and district administration, and recognition at state and national levels has been achieved by many school organizations from Science Olympiad, Marching Band, National Merit Finalists, and athletics. Every single staff member goes above and beyond to ensure a positive, welcoming environment. I could not have asked for a better high school experience and am extremely prepared for college and life beyond.

I just started going here and I would say that the school is okay. It's very good education wise but none of the students try to make new friends. All of them are majorly antisocial outside of their group of friends and it's annoying.

I go to this school and I love it! I'm not a so called popular kid but that doesn't matter. This school is so different compared to other schools There are not as strong of clicks as other schools. May people mingle from different groups o friends. There is a wide course selection for students who need help to others that find school easy and need to be challenged. Students are also able to take college courses during high school for free. That means you can get college credit for free! Also, we have a large marching band, 200+, and your not "uncool" if you take it. Almost all of the football and basketball player are in the band. Clubs range from theatre, to a video game club. There is also and anime club, gay pride club, ecology club, math club, yearbook, a youtube channel making club called film Fridays, a photography club, writing club, mock trial, swimming team, science Olympiad, top 25 which is a singing group, and there are others too. But if there is a club they do not have you can make your own with help from the office. There are guidance councilors to take anytime and refused lunch programs. The teachers really care. If you have a chance come to this school.

A challenging curriculum, an excellent staff and wonderful students make Mentor High School an outstanding institution. We are always striving to evolve while becoming an even better school system. I am fortunate to have been a staff member for the past 15+ years and I am looking forward to continuing in this capacity for many more years.
