I can only say great things about Lake Catholic High School. I loved my time as a student and know that I will send my own children to this school.

I have loved the experience at Lake Catholic. The community is what makes this program and school so unique.

The school refuses to listen to the parents or even the students. The principal won’t return emails or even consider any facts given when making a decision. They have no admission standards, as they accept 100% of those that apply. In the end it’s all about the money.

A person's education doesn't just "happens" to them. Every experience and every grade is earned....NOTHING is given. I feel that Lake has a variety of different courses that meet the need of students of all academic needs. If someone is skating by and not being challenges, then that is a reflection of the student and them taking the easy course and the easy way out. Lake overall is a good school and works to tailor programs for all of their population. Lake is a great environment for a young adult to learn and grow up in. Lake teaches excellence, integrity, accountability and compassion.

My wife and I both graduated from Lake back in the 80's and we are sending our child there and she loves the atmosphere as well as the teaching staff. She has plenty of work to keep her busy and does well in the school.

My son and niece went to Lake Catholic High School. I agree with the previous poster, the school is average at best. The school is all about sports because athletes skate there. They are not challenged and are not held to the same accountability as other students. The culture is cold and clicky, its about who you know. My niece graduated from Lake with over a 3.0 gpa but couldn't score high enough on her ACT to get into state schools like Kent or BGSU. My son ended up transferring to VASJ after his sophomore year which has a much more challenging curriculum and a much more warm and welcoming environment. I would recommend parents look at VASJ first, followed by NDCL or St Ignatius before considering Lake.
