School was excellent until 2020 when management staff caused many good teachers to leave. It's now a church family run good old boy School. They are struggling to find good qualified teachers. The school is actually on the market for sale, no future there.

Some of the teachers most on the Elementary hall are some of the most caring teachers. The Elementary teachers I found were the best communicators on the students progress and went above and beyond. My child was lucky enough to have Mrs. Self as a teacher last year. She spent extra time time helping my child grasp new concepts. She provided a loving and caring environment for all the students. She made sure my child was felt special on their birthday. For the first time in 5 years my child was excited about school and couldn't wait to see their teacher. It is so rewarding as a parent to see a teacher make such an impact in a child's life.

I had placed my son in August of 2017 after trying other private Christian schools - I had found that this school is the most caring school that we have experienced- We have never been greeted with a more friendlier administration and staff as noted from all of the other private Christian schools that we had encountered at twice the charge. My sons 2018 Cog AT test results speaks for itself hitting in the 90's with the top category at 99. We could not be more happier. It is a true blessing that we found this school!

My daughter started at this school last year. She is currently in the 3rd grade. We are very pleased with everything! Her teacher is amazing and she is very happy here :-)

This school is not racially separated. Whoever said this, clearly does not know what he or she is talking about. The teachers are also not reluctant to help students. The biggest problems are students (and parents) who don't want to help themselves. Teachers often go out of their way to offer help classes and make-up work for the students. They don't have to do that, but they will if they choose. Many students never even come to help classes or ask teachers for assistance until the end of a quarter or when they need to stay on a sports team. Also, no one ever gets expelled for doing nothing wrong at all. Not sure what the other poster is referencing. As to who receives Christian merit awards, if you are aware students are doing wrong, then you should probably mention it to their parents or to the faculty rather than posting about it on here. If there were some glaring issues or some terrible thing that the faculty or staff knew about, I'm pretty sure they would not give the award out to the undeserving student.

As a long time student for more than a decade, my honest review is meh. The teachers seem to be helping in the subjects that the school is notoriously weak in, such as math and science, and the current coaching staff is passionate and qualified. The communication of the upper faculty is the downfall of the school, for the faculty plays a game of telephone and harmless acts get manipulated into grounds for expulsion without the students knowledge and leaving him helpless to defend himself. Ridiculous. The decisions regarding awards are usually biased and when judging character ALWAYS WRONG. Multiple christian merit awards have been rewarded to those who are most hypocritical, in ways unmentionable to public. This school will not be the reason for its students success or failure, and does not set itself apart in excellence or tragedy, only in mediocrity.

this school is a racially separated school. It also tries to hold some children that the teachers do not like in particular back from doing certain things that would help the student such as duel enrollment. This school is not a resourceful school if the student is failing/ struggling they will be reluctant to help the child. this school also gives "special favoritism" to students who are church members and to the members of staff's kids. Overall, as a former student i do not recommend this school as a potential school as most of the staff members are family and will side with each other if there is a real problem.

Talked to a student who transferred to a larger Christian school this year and she said she was immediately placed in college-level English and math. She specifically commented that the math is easy because of how challenging it was here. Same comments on English as well. What a great thing to hear! Improvements in the program here at Peoples are happening every year!

In response to the June10 comment, I can assure you that the statements made were fabricated. I have taught at PBA for 20 years and know of no such conduct by faculty or staff. The teachers love children and love what they do. Students who transfer into PBA typically are two years behind the national average. The atmosphere is conducive to learning, and parents tell us that their children thrive because of it. New programs are constantly being added. For the coming year, an intramural Junior Knights program for Grades 1-6 has been added, and a community football program is underway this week. The school holds 28 state championships in high school sports. As for curriculum, it is constantly evaluated, updated, and improved, and teachers are required to maintain certification. Each year we hear from college professors, both Christian and secular, who are impressed by our students' knowledge and abilities. Our greatest joy is that we are now also teaching children of our alumni. What a privilege and vote of confidence!

Peoples Baptist Academy is well respected in the Atlanta area and is known for its high academics. The teachers are among the best I have ever seen. Many of them have more than 30 years of teaching experience. My children attended PBA and my grandchildren are now attending, and our family loves it. They have a lot to offer and their facilities are beautiful, but the best thing about them is what you find when you walk through their doors.

To the august 18th poster, re-check your facts. All the teachers at this school are NOT college graduates. In fact, some have never even been to college. Some of the teachers are caring individuals. Some are power hungry, self serving and their salvation could be questionable. If they really are accredited, it would be safe to say they paid for it.

Our family loves Peoples Baptist Academy. It offers a well rounded experience that includes strong academics, sports, and fine arts. The teachers and faculty are very qualified, some even holding masters degrees. The class size is small offering individual attention to all students. The school environment is caring and encouraging to all students and families. The administration encourages parental involvement. My children have thrived in this environment and I would not have them anywhere else.

We love Peoples Baptist Academy. My kids have no desire to go anywhere else. Many of the high school classes are advance learning where the graduates are able to test out of some of the college English and Math classes. We are very pleased with the qualifications of the teachers. As part of being fully accredited, the teachers are college graduates and are well trained to educate the students. This school will provide a Christian atmosphere to help develop you child both academically and spiritually.

To the previous reviewer who submitted a negative comment, the academic program at Peoples is far superior than many public school programs. The school definitely scores well above public school averages in SAT testing. One graduate who did particularly well received a huge scholarship to Auburn University. The majority of teachers hold a bachelor's degree in their area of teaching and several have master's degrees. One of the administrative staff is also working on a doctorate. I would say qualifications are doing well. Besides, "real education" begins in the home.
