Garza Elementary is not only a school with high caliber staff, but places students as a priority. My daughter attended Garza Elementary and because of the strong emotional and academic foundation developed by the caring, dedicated teachers she has excelled in school. Parents, staff and the community are all one big family and everyone has the same mission---provide a balance of strong academics and emotional support. The principal knows every child by name and makes it a priority to make them feel welcomed and cared for. Proud to be a part of such an outstanding campus!

Garza Elementary is indeed a remarkable school known for its dedication to providing a high-quality education to all students. The school prioritizes academic excellence, a nurturing learning environment, and the overall growth of each child. The dedicated and experienced teachers at Garza Elementary go above and beyond to motivate and educate students, enabling them to achieve their full potential.

I love being a teacher here at Garza. I love the atmosphere and the way students and parents are valued and important. Children love it when they see the principal because she always acknowledges and greets them with a smile. As a teacher I feel valued and supported by my team and leaders. Garza is a great place to learn and work!

I absolutely loved having my boys at this school. Their teachers cared for them as their own. The level in which they learned and excelled is a true testament of the teachers’ passion and drive. They were involved in the school’s Chess, Track, Century Club, Garden Club and in UIL. They also excelled academically and I truly attribute it to the teachers’ love for learning. Thank you, Garza teachers, for all you have done and continue to do, for the unicorns.

Teachers go above and beyond to prepare students to achieve academic excellence and to close the gaps in the learning challenges. Social-emotional learning is ongoing and there are many after school activities such as sports teams, technology clubs, chess club, and many other academic UIL activities to choose from.

I am thrilled to share my utmost appreciation for Mrs. Gonzalez, the 5th-grade teacher at Garza Elementary. Her dedication to her students and passion for teaching make her an outstanding educator.Mrs. Gonzalez's teaching methods are not only effective but also engaging, creating a positive and conducive learning environment. Her commitment to fostering a love for learning is evident, and my daughter Star's academic progress is a testament to her exceptional teaching skills. It's no surprise that Mrs. Gonzalez is in high demand among 4th-grade parents, as her reputation for excellence precedes her. The way she connects with students and instills confidence in their abilities is truly commendable. My daughter, along with her peers, looks forward to attending Mrs. Gonzalez's class each day.One of the most significant indicators of Mrs. Gonzalez's impact is evident in Star's exam results. She not only passed but excelled, showcasing the effectiveness of Mrs. Gonzalez's teaching methods. This positive outcome stands out, especially when compared to performance across other grade levels. In conclusion, Mrs. Gonzalez has made a lasting and positive impression on both students and parents alike. Garza Elementary is fortunate to have such a dedicated and talented educator shaping the academic journey of its students. I wholeheartedly recommend Mrs. Gonzalez for her exceptional teaching abilities and the positive impact she has on students' academic success.

Our School Community is one that has remained student centered. We believe students are successful when they have the two most influential individuals in their lives those being parent and teacher well informed of the whole child. Garza teachers strive to keep in close communication with parent(s) regarding their student's academic, behavioral and social-emotional outcomes. Student success is essential and foremost.

For the Valley, maybe this is an okay school. But if you're looking at education as a whole, Garza is definitely lacking. Education is lacking and students are behind the rest of the US. Teachers should speak English in classrooms, not a mixture of English and Spanish.

My children have attendeId this school since they were in kinder. I have always been pleased with the school and teachers. Mrs. Shults was a very good principal and has had very good A.P and teachers behind her. This year that leadership and happy spirt has been missd. The new principal seems to be trying her best to keep things going and is positive and very approachable. However, it is sad that MISD continues to keep staff like the new A.P that was placed there. She is not at all what any elem school needs. She looks mad and un interested in children. As a parent I feel let down by who ever made a decission to put that A.P on this campus.
