    Mountainside Montessori is a gem school. Gem. Hidden gem. Not hidden to those in the know.

    My wife is Montessori trained and she knew what to look for in a Montessori school and she found it at Mountainside. The Head of School, Edel Kunkel, is a wonderful instructor and taught all three of my children in Primary. Two of them are still there in Mountainside's Elementary program. If you are looking for a fantastic school, this is it!

    This innovative method of teaching children has changed my son's life. The parents and teachers have a sense of unity that is astounding. Even better, the school is centered around teaching young children to care for and respect the land--fostering an agricultural education and embedding a profound and necessary love for the earth.
