I highly recommend this school. My family has had children at Addison Elementary School for almost ten years. The teachers are wonderful and the Administrative team, Jill Spiva and Michelle Gillham, are thoughtful leaders who continue to push the school forward with higher expectations of staff and students. You won't find a more friendly and professional front office staff!

Very thankful to have our daughter enrolled since kindergarten. She’s been given a great education, and being Hispanic has thrived all the way through 2nd grade with excellent staff.

I use to consider this a great school. I was proud that my kids went here but then Jill Spiva came is as the principal. She is extremely rude to staff, doesn’t listen to parents and only wants to do what she wants to do. She even had a police officer watch a veteran teacher pack up after she did away with her program. I for one will not donate another dollar to this school and considering a charter school instead.

I went here a few years back yes I’m young I know. School is mainly good most of the students are respectful and spare the teachers. Had fun times here even if it was cut short due to Covid

Both of my kids go to Addison Elementary School. All I can is it is an amazing school. The teachers are excellent and above all the school is now STEM accredited. I would highly recommend this school to all the parents.

Lovely school with a lot of "push."

We have had a very positive experience with the school so far. The administration is visible and so is the effort they put into parent and student involvement. The school seeks much financial support from families and this can be a real challenge for some families that just don’t have it in their budget. You can’t blame them as it is a public school but again expect to get alerted.

Top Flight School! I have put 3 children through Addison and I could not be happier with our time there. Best in East Cobb!! Always helpful, supportive staff that show great care for your child and help them reach their highest potential.

Our daughter is now a 3rd grader at Addison. Her experience has been wonderful. She's so proud to be a student there. Each of her teachers have been nurturing and encouraging. Our daughter still goes around to all of her previous teachers to give them a hug.

I was unsure about sending my children to public school, but Addison has proven to be a challenging, loving, sweet little school. My children love going. The teachers are wonderful. It's on the small side - as far as Metro Atlanta and East Cobb schools go. The environment is positive and energetic. I feel like my children are getting an excellent education. The teachers consistantly challenge the students but in a loving and supportive manner. We've been very happy at Addison!

This is such a great school in so many ways! The Leader in Me program that Addison follows is so motivating to the children. It teaches them how to succeed and be leaders in the 21st century while incorporating unity in their community. The teachers are fantastic and really care about their students and the school. There are beautiful gardens all around the school that are maintained by a calibration of students, teachers and volunteers. It makes the school so warm and welcoming! The school has one of the best science labs for elementary schools in the area. They are a peanut free school and are very understanding to sever allergies. There is also a lot of parent involvement which keeps this small but amazing school an all around great school!

Georgia's first charter school. I has grown to meet the new standards of common core and continue to provide excellent education to the community it serves.

Most of the child's teachers are great the office staff is horrible. Only ONE office staff member speaks that's the lady at the check in desk. The other office staff makes the school look bad with poor customer service. I signed up as PTA volunteer several times and never received a call.. This school needs to work on customer service. The Asst. Principal is awesome, and I thought he was the Principal. I am pleased with curriculum, but the office staff and teacher parent relationship need a lot of work.

This is a fantastic school! They have a green house & garden, a amazing science lab and full time science teacher, caring staff & involved parents. VP set up a fantastic program for dads called FBI (Fathers Being Involved) & are seeing so many more male volunteers in the school! It helps create a safer feel for everyone & gets the kids excited to show their Dads what their school is all about.

Addison is a great school. The school uses innovative techniques to ensure the children are successful, confident and reach their highest potential. They strongly encourage parent/family involvement and create many opportunities to get involved. My child feels safe and is very happy at Addison.
