The safety at this school is concerning, we have fights all the time and cops are currently on our campus. Recently their was a bad fight that happened even though there were cops on school grounds. As a student I am sometimes scared to come to school because what if the next kid that gets jumped is me? I personally think there should be stricter rules dealing with suspension and bullying. When parents leave their kids in the school's care they expect their children should be safe, when here it is not the case. Other than that the school is decent, the teachers and staff are really nice, some even greet me when I come in the gate in the morning. The family engagement is also pretty good, they have some activities such as back to school night that parents can engage with the staff and teachers. Overall though I would not recommend this school because safety is a big concern when attending school.

This school is not safe at all! I witness fights almost every day! (we have a record of 5 fights in one day) Other than that, half the teachers here are nice and fun while the other half seem like they only want to wreak havoc on children's imagination and happiness. There are a few select fun events, however, that include family engagement (Hispanic Culture Day, Open House, chaperones of field trips, etc.). I'm not part of Special Education, but they get their rooms and times to eat as well as what they need to use in daily life. Sometimes for teaching, we do very interesting and fun activities, but most of the time (in most classes), it's normal stuff. The teachers I feel do their jobs the best (besides the P.E. teachers because how do you screw that up?) is the history teachers (mainly Mr. Chapman), and that's all for me. Yeah, notice how I only listed one teacher (besides P.E.)? That's because our school is desperate for teachers and doesn't check to see if they are liked by the kids. How hard is it to do a poll every now and then to see which teachers are doing good and bad? I give this school 3 stars, and that's me being generous! (I'm in 7th grade so maybe 8th isn't so bad.)

My school Is great! we have wonderful teachers and a WONDERFUL principal. Our P.E teachers are great Blanke-Pau and Lapchet! sure we have our flaws but what school doesn't? I am in 8th grade now and last year I had only As and Bs and from both years only one bad teacher. well she's nice but Common Core Math is horrible and she doesn't teach it to us very well. That is the only problem I've had with teachers.Mr. McGregor is great and so are our vice principals Mrs. Iwamiya and Mr. Rogers. any how when I had a problem last year Mrs. Iwamiya made sure it got solved and the problem didn't happen again. Wonderful help!
