The teachers in this school, for the most part, lack the commitment to educate the students. When students ask questions in the classroom about doubts they have or explanations they need to understand the material, the majority of the teachers respond with a poor attitude. They also do not provide excellent reviews before students take exams. I also disagree with the teachers using YouTube or internet videos in the classroom for students to understand the material, instead of delivering the lesson themselves. I do not recommend this school. Most of the teachers lack vocation. Some teachers fail to input grades into the Powerschool system on time, which prevents us parents from tracking our children's progress. They lack organization. They claim that grades will be available in the system on a certain day, yet there are teachers who do not enter the grades.

High anxiety environment between students and teachers, more of a prison environment than an educational one.

Los maestros de esta escuela, en su gran mayoría no tienen el compromiso de enseñar a los estudiantes. Cuando los estudiantes hacen preguntas en el salón de clases sobre dudas que tienen o sobre alguna explicación que necesitan para poder entender la materia, la mayoría de los maestros responden con mala actitud. Tampoco ofrecen excelentes repasos antes qud los estudiantes tomen el examen. He quedado también en desacuerdo con que los maestros usen videos en el salón de clases de YouTube o de ineternet para que los estudiantes puedan entender el material, en vez de ellos dar la clase. No recomiendo esta escuela. Los maestros la mayoría no tienen vocación.

This was my child's first year at DCA, and if my child was not an eighth grader, this would have been their last year anyway. The turn over of teachers this year was inexcusable. All four of the eighth grade core teacher's resigned in the first half of the year. The administration has driven away some really great teachers. When I questioned the administration about the learning stability and consistency for the students, I was quickly dismissed stating that they were "working on getting new teachers and not to worry." It definitely has raised some red flags when they all decided to resign, a few of them without much notice. Shortly after these resignations, the children were asked to do a bunch of testing to see where they were at, which caused more stress and anxiety for the students. We are finishing out this school year, but I would not recommend. Obviously, my personal opinion, but if I had known this beforehand I would have been deterred from sending my child there. It was a very disappointing transition.

The turnover of teachers this year has been a dramatic disappointment. My child went from loving learning and loving going to school to being reluctant to go to school in less than a year. My child still loves learning, but not at DCA. I have watched the school actively crush creativity and classroom engagement through driving away excellent teachers and replacing evidence-based learning strategies with more and more testing. Repeated testing will not solve the problems at this school. The leadership seems unwilling to adapt and support their learners and their teachers.

Our sons first 2yrs there was great, over the years the school has became worse. Administration has ran off all the good teachers. Turnover is ridiculous. They just fired the best guy, that all the kids loved. All Administration wants is control. They do not care about the kids nor their families. Will not send my kid back or his siblings if administration does not change. They have teachers currently there that are not certified. Very disappointed on how this school is. Going down hill fast. I would stop the progress of the middle school, this rate they will not have kids for the middle school
