North Davidson High offers excellent opportunities to the students to excel in education. They offer many courses for students to take with a significant amount of the being honors and AP classes that students can shine brightly in. When I have kids one day, and I am living in davidson county, I will take my kid to any other school except North Davidson. Despite the great opportunities that this school will offer you, it is not worth the rude staff and stupid rules they have. I had to go to several doctors to have tests done to figure out what is physically wrong with me. I went to the front office to ask the lady to let the principal know that I need to speak with her about my days, since starting this year, after you've reached 4 days out of the 8 you can miss it's counted as "excessive absences" abd you have to fill oit a wavior form so your grades will show up on your report card or else you'll get an FF. So the lady in the front office told me she'd let her know I was there. Since then, I was up there maybe 3 other times asking the same question. And the lady was getting an attitude with me and had the audacity to ask me why I keep going up there. Prior to that, she had said the principal probabaly would not approve my days. Then the day after that, she told me she never said that to me. Why would I worry about my days if I wasn't told that? It got to the point where my teacher had to email the principal to inform her that I'd been up there several times and that the lady in the front office never informed her that I was there like she said she would. Everytime I went up there, the lady was so rude to me. Also, last year, I had pepper spray on my key chain because my dad told me to always carry it. Well, one day in class, a kid took it off my Keychain after I had told him to leave it alone, and sprayed himself purposely in the eyes to make his girlfriend feel sorry for him. Myself and the kid, got in trouble. He was suspended and I was almost suspended, although it was not my fault and listening to my dad. Instead I got 2 days of ISS and my dad was livid. Also, each year, the school rules get more and more ridiculous. I do not recommend this school to anyone at all. Very disrespectful and ridiculous.

Relocated to N Davison school district from the northeast. I was generally pleased with the school, staff, and academics. Simple and straightforward with nothing real fancy about the school, but good values and a good education can be found at N. Davidson.

This school is great... I love the teachers and the students. People here only treat you how you let yourself be treated. Basically if you respect yourself, others will respect you.

This school has extreme amounts of religious and political bias from students and teachers, if your child is openly homosexual or anything but Republican or Christian their time here will be more difficult than the next kid.
