A great school for typical kids. For families considering the therapeutic program, please be careful. While there are good teachers at Bridge, administration and therapeutic staff do not seem specialized or interested in appropriate interventions. My child’s educational plan was rarely followed. More often than not, the idea seemed to be removal of privileges and isolation. I was presented with a plan for addressing behaviors. I signed, trusting what was presented to me: a collaborative plan to help my child. In fact, it was a document that allowed them to initiate the process of removal. Later I learned that they are required to make a case that some sort of crisis is happening before they can force you to leave. Sure enough, my child was subjected to physical restraint three times in the following week. (They had never needed restraint prior and had never exhibited violent behavior in any setting known to us). 90 percent of my child’s problems have disappeared since leaving.

Bridge Elementary has provided our daughter with a top education. The teachers are all attentive and well prepared.

Highly overrated school. With all the hype surrounding this school, I expected to be amazing. While I was very impressed with my child's Kindergarten teacher, my child's 1st and 2nd grade teachers were a disappointment. When I would send emails to the teachers, they went unanswered. There was very little homework by 2nd grade and no focus on spelling. What make this school "great" are the parents that care so deeply about their kids learning. I can safely say it is not worth the crazy amount of money you need to spend to live in this town just to be able to go to this school.

Bridge School has wonderful educators and a kind and caring staff - from the school nurse to head custodian - everyone takes pride and care in the school. The kindergarten and 4th grade teams are particularly strong but there are "shining lights" at every grade level. The school community is wonderful - probably the most ethnically diverse school in Lexington - which means learning goes beyond the basic curriculum. Children are encouraged to share their heritage and culture and the PTA puts on an incredible International festival. The growing population of newer immigrant families has been a struggle in regards to parent involvement though - these families tend to have dual working parents who also don't necessarily know about or understand the need for parent involvement. That said, the very active PTA is working hard to encourage all families to participate and finding ways to make all families welcome. As the new families (to the school and the US) become more and more a part of the school it makes the Bridge Community all the richer.

Bridge school has a fantastic leadership and very strong parent involvement. Our 2 kids love walking to school every day (if it is not snowing).

One of the best elementary schools in the country. Both my kids loved it. Outstanding teachers and leadership.
