My son has been at Grace going on four years now. We absolutely love Grace. Every teacher is fantastic and dedicated to the children. It is nice to be at a school were the teachers not only love teaching there, several of the teachers own children attend there! This is really important to me as a parent to know the teachers have faith in the school.I am writing this review because we just got through a tough time with COVID and we all had to do distance learning. My son is in junior high at Grace. My husband and I are extremely happy with the distance learning our son received. The three teachers in junior high, did an outstanding job transitioning from in the classroom to computer learning. The teachers used zoom and everyday the teachers had classes and all of the kids were in attendance. The Principal vowed to the parents that at the end of the school year our children would be ready to promote to the next grade and would be ready. The teachers did just that. My son received the same lessons he would have if he was in class. It is reasonable for me to say some modifications took place, but my son did not miss a beat. Besides his core classes, my son still had art class and physical education. Books were still read, tests were taken, lessons done etc. At no time did I have to do any teaching!!! The teachers did all of the teaching and when my son had questions, the teachers had available hours for either email questions or zoom meeting for help or tutoring. As with normal school, my son was held accountable for his work etc. It takes extraordinary teachers to accomplish what these teachers did. My son ended the year happy and he felt accomplished. His grades reflected his hard work and made him proud he could still do well even under these unusual circumstances. We are hopeful we can go back to class in the fall. Our principal and our church school board are working that out this summer. We look forward to seAs a parent I look to a school to accomplish three basic things; to educate my child both academically and spiritually, keep him safe and let him have fun. Grace does all of this and well. All of the teachers, the principal and the staff are a pleasure to work with. Everyone gives 100% for our children. We love being a part of this family!

I am an educator and I was nervous about finding a quality school for my own children when we moved to the area. I toured and met with administrators at many private schools prior to choosing a school for my children. Ultimately, I choose this school because it provides small class sizes, with more individualized instruction, but still provides my child all of the programs and opportunities that a larger school would offer. This school is the safe, accepting learning environment that children need to be successful. My child thrives at this school because of the dedication that the teachers and administration put into each child every day. Finding this school was a huge relief for my family, now that I know my children can still get a quality education in the AV.

The students at Grace Lutheran are getting a great quality advanced education. Students in the 4th grade are learning concepts that many of the high school math students I teach do not understand.

Grace Lutheran is a small but educational school that we absolutely love. If your looking for small class sizes, caring staff and a positive environment this school is for you. My child doesn't fear going to school and we don't fear sending our child either.

Special mention to the Music program. Both my sons learned to play the saxophone from the band teacher, Mr. Lee Matalon. Mr. Matalon is a well know instructor (AVC, Paraclete, QHHS), player and bandleader (AV Jazz Ensemble for one) here in the Antelope Valley who has dedicated his time and attention to the students at Grace for over 30 years. His students have gone on to play in high school marching bands, many of them honoring in music and achieving high accolades such as State Honor Band and receiving scholarships from their music. Grace is extremely fortunate to have him as an adjunct faculty member.

I am a parent of a first-grader and preschooler at Grace Lutheran, and this is our second school year. I cannot say enough good things about this school. Small class sizes mean students get individualized instruction. Many of the teachers and staff have been at the school for a decade or more, and they truly love their jobs and the students. Despite the school's small size, the kids get all the perks of a large, private school: weekly chapel; a computer lab with brand-new computers (even preschoolers use the computer lab); Spanish, art, and music for all ages; band beginning in 4th grade; intramural sports for 5th grade and up, and Jr. FIRST LEGO League for K-3 and FIRST LEGO League for 4th-8th. Elementary students also check books out of the library once a week. Parent involvement is very high, and the school welcomes parent input and volunteerism. The school really feels like a big, extended family. We could not be more happy with this school and consider it one of the best kept secrets in the Antelope Valley.

Grace Lutheran Christian School has a rigorous curriculum led by caring and experienced teachers. Small class sizes provide personal attention to each student. GLS has 104 more contact hours with students each year. In addition to the core subjects, Grace offers Art, Spanish, Band, Music, Choir, Computers, PE, Science, Health, Social Studies and an after school athletic program for boys and girls. The large campus is a safe and secure environment for all our students. A supportive parent community actively serves the school. Scholarships are available.

As far as schools in the Antelope Valley's go, this one is amongst the top five. When you factor in tuition rates and teacher quality then it s between this school and Sacred Heart. I have had by children enrolled in both schools. I was easily convinced to re- enroll them both in 2013 not just because of the standardized testing results from this school year (2012), but because of the attention the teachers have provided to each of my children. They have made success attainable for each all the while building up their self-confidence. For those of you considering alternative schools, I encourage you to visit each school and find a parent to tell you both the positives and negatives of each school. From my perspective and in this school setting, there are only the little things that I would change- remembering that not everything in life is perfect. But for me and my family, this school gets pretty close.

I enrolled my two boys at Grace about 9 years ago. At that time my boys were 3 and 6. I was drawn in because I needed good before and after school childcare. It was the best thing I've ever done for my kids. One of my boys is still at Grace and one has graduated. Having a solid education under his belt, my son, who graduated, entered into Quartz Hill High School's IB program, as did most of the kids from his class that went on to Quartz Hill High. Discipline is handled in a positive Christian way. Many family activities throughout the year. School is like an extended family. Class sizes are small and, in addition to the basics, include: Religion, Computers, Spanish, Art, Music or Band, singing & plays & sports. You can apply for tuition assisstance if you need it.

I can't say enough good things about the school and teachers at GLS. The teachers are dedicated and love their job. My daughter loves going to school and the curriculum is challenging. We are baptist but have had no difficulty with the faith based teachings at the school. Our daughter is receiving an excellent Christian based education. The teachers and school employees are all like an extended family to the children. The kids all know and care for each other. This school as truly been a blessing to my daughter's life. We are so pleased with it.

This school has been a blessing in the life of my daughter. Before she attented Grace Lutheran, she hated school. She wasn't confident, she was bringing home C's and D's, always beginning me to stay home and crying. It used to break my heart. Thanks to the principal and the second grade teacher they accepted my daughter and she has flourished in this school. She's bringing home A's and B's, she's confident, she loves going to school! This school has been the answer to my prayers. We are Catholic but the great people here do not great us any different. There are not enough words or actions that can express my gratitude towards tge educators and parishioners here at Grace Lutheran School.
