The staff is extremely biased with their own children compared to the families that pay to attend. Staff children cause numerous problems and bully and harass other students but the children that get in trouble are the ones that try to defend themselves. The elementary principal is pretty and stuck on herself, she looks down her nose at others. They come across like they care when you first apply but that quickly goes away. The curriculum is lower learning and the children are not challenged academically. The school puts more effort into having your child fundraise for them as they are money hungry.

Putting my son into this school after a few years of the negative environment of the public schools in the A.V. was the best thing that has ever happened to him. I wish we would have put him in DCS sooner.

Our children have been involved with this school for over 10 years and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a safe, loving and Bible-based school for any child - pre-school through high school. The staff is excellent, the tuition is reasonable and the educational opportunities are outstanding. Our children did multiple sports at the high school and the coaches put emphasis on spiritual growth and attitudes as well as physical performance, something that is sorely missing from most public, and some private, schools.

All three of my children attended DCS and graduated from DCHS, I highly recommend this school! They prepared my children for college and beyond. The staff is loving and there is a family atmosphere on campus as well as rigorous courses to prepare students for higher education.

All 4 of my children attend Desert Christian Schools. They are well prepared academically, spiritually and physically for college and life beyond DCS. I cannot say enough good things about Desert Christian Schools.

I have one in middle school and another in elementary and they both, like myself love Desert Christian. My 14 year has been going there since Kindergarden and not once have I had any issues with teachers or staff. All the teachers are loving and truly care for your children. DCS are like a big family and I love the atmosphere of praising God and getting a great education at the same time. My son is starting high school next fall and he has so many leadership skills and my daughter is starting 3rd next fall and she is excited as well. They provide many extra activities from worshiping clubs, music to sports that they both find what they like and excel. My youngest is only 2 years old and I can't wait for him to start in a year or two! All my three kids will continue at DCS as long as God provides.

My son attends Desert Christian Elementary and I must say we have had a wonderful experience with this school. My son was new to the school this year and his teacher was so welcoming and warm, she always made him feel comfortable. My son is excelling in every subject and loves the school. They offer many extra curricular activities that children can get involved in. Overall I would highly recommend this school to any parent.

Desert Christian is a great school! I went here from third grade all the way through high school. The teachers are hard workers and know how to teach and be kind at the same time, I am truly grateful for all that Desert Christian taught me!

We started our oldest at the middle school, thinking we'd move him to public school in 9th grade. 3 weeks into 6th grade, he asked, "I can go here through high school right?" He finished high school in 2011 and is now finishing up a freshman year in college where he's already been recognized as a leader and model student. We credit Desert Christian with giving him wonderful opportunities to be a leader in sports, music, and academics. Yes he would have succeeded in a public school but those opportunities to lead would have been much fewer. It's those skills that will best prepare him to be a leader in his church, career, and community. The relationships he's built with his teachers have helped mature him and work comfortably with adults in college. Desert Christian has so many opportunities for involvement that colleges look for. I couldn't recommend it enough.

Desert Christian is the best school in the A.V. My children have been going here since pre-school, we tried something different for one year and learned our lesson, in that... there is just NO comparison to DCS! The teachers are very compassionate & kind in a very Christ-like way. Their motto this year is "Respect" & that goes both ways, but most of all it is Bible-centered teaching. A+ for Desert Christian!

I absolutely love Desert Christian in Lancaster, CA. The teachers are loving and genuine to each and every student and family that attends this school. Yes they do test students to make sure they are ready for kindergarten but this prepares students educationally and socially for their school experience. There are fundraisers but this helps the school to remain the most affordable private school in the Antelope Valley. The lunchroom staff and qualify of food is the best that I have ever seen in any school, public or private. I am so blessed to be able to have my child at this school. They have a great program where you can work at the school and pay down some of your tuition. What an awesome opportunity this is for struggling families that want to provide the very best for their kids. This school is building great Christian leaders and has been able to offer fine arts and many other programs that public schools have no budget for. Class sizes are approximately 30 to a class with many classes being in the 20s. In addition the elementary classes have teachers aides to allow teachers to teach and not spend their time making copies or tying shoes. Great, great school!!!!

What a blessing this school has been to my family. I love the way the teachers genuinely love and care about my children. It has been a sacrifice for us to have our children enrolled in a private school, but well worth it! There is no perfect school out there, but DCS has proven to be the best Christian school in the Antelope Valley. Thank you DCS!!

To be blunt, it feels like a hustle while hiding behind Christ. How can a child be in your preschool for 3 years and not be ready for your kindergarten curriculum? When it s time for Kindergarten, they ll recommend Jr. Kinder stating, your child isn t socially ready .I placed my child in Kinder anyhow. He received high marks all year. In 1st grade the teacher was clearly overwhelmed w/ a class size of 35-40.Voicing my concern this year about my child being placed in a class w/ a teacher who was unacceptable bordering incompetent and given our history/participation at the school we were optimistic that our concerns would be heard. They were not. The discipline is absent, the kids discuss unseemly things, there s an atmosphere of exclusion, and if tuition, almost $5 daily for lunch and paying for every extracurricular activity weren t enough, you MUST participate in the frequent fundraisers, all while your child receives a questionable opportunity. When paying for private education you expect the best and unfortunately DCS falls short, missing the mark and is completely oblivious. Our family won t be returning to DCS and I urge you to look long and hard before settling here.

Love this school!!! We have had our kids at this school since 1998. We had to put them in public school for a few years due to a financial issue and hated every minute of it. We love the God centered education, loving teachers, and safe environment. My kids have always received a high quality education. In fact my oldest just graduated and received two scholarships to the University of Hawaii. I can't thank the teachers and staff enough for everything they do.

Worst School Ever!!! That staff is nice to your face, but sit in the office like I did to get my daughter early and you can hear Principle talking badly and laughing about the parents, there was also a child there when she was speaking this way. Then the class size is 35 students at $400 a child ($14,000 per month) they won't hire anymore teachers and parents complaints go unheard. The schooling is not far from public I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone. I'm looking for a new school this summer for my daughter I'm not going to pay to be treated to this way.

My daughter attended DC for 5 years: two years in preschool, kindergarten, 1st and 2nd. I think it's a wonderful school and a warm loving environment, at least in the younger grades, which was important to me. Because of money issues we had to move her to public schools, so I think I'm not biased in saying that those 5 years at Desert Christian are the reason she became such a good student. What seems horribly repetitive in math in fact has made her top notch in her math facts. She reads everything and excels in all areas of English. I think the way they teach writing, the Denilion method , is the best. I love it and use it myself. Not all Christian schools are created equal! If your kids are starting school, this is the Christian school to go to. Thank You DC, from the White family.
