I graduate from this school a year ago; it was one of the worst learning experience I had until I worked with a wonder teacher named Miss Vu. My first few months attending the school I wasn't getting the attention I needed and the help I deserved. I have an IEP and one of my rights was to use a calculator during the CAHSEE I was denied that right by my male teacher and I also got denied the right to test separately from other students and I can't read and comprehend without hearing and seeing what I'm being tested on, if your child has an IEP demand that they work with Miss Vu and only her she is the absolute best and will give your child all the help they need and won't leave a subjective until the student is comfortable to test

Nonetheless it doesn't get any better than this! Finalizing whatever the student harnesses in gifts and talents ne'er laden or burdening, whilst easily students complying with standards of THEMSELVES.. automatically! RAISING the bar, from a typical life into the lightwaves of energies fields separate systems!

My son was sixteen when we enrolled him. He struggled academically and the staff remained hopeful. They were very attentive to his needs. I reccomend them as they remained helpful to my son.

Antelope Valley Academy seriosly is working for my girls(Indep.Study) The teachers are attentive and caring. Most importantly my girls work on their own pace and they are NOT bullied or cyber attacked by naive, insensitive students. They are not criticized for what they wear or judged on looks. This method has been truly a blessing for me!! Happy students= Happy Mom!!!

This school is for kids who couldn't thrive and be successful in traditional schooling enviroments. That being said, it is a good enough school if your child was failing before and you want them to have a one on one short instruction and graduate high school. If your child has special needs of any kind of nature then it is good temporarily, however it does not prepare your high schooler for the future or even help out in that respect. It also does not offer any advanced classes and in the grades of 9th and 10th, it is too concerned with state tests so your child does not get the appropriate math curriculum for those grades until later. The teachers every year takes annual vacation time that somehow creates obstacles for their assigned students to achieve their earned credits during the teachers' vacation time.{ like up to a month of credits} They are very slow in sending report cards out. it takes them up to 2 months or more to send them out.I think they do that on purpose so you can get sucked into starting another semester with them. Not very many extracurricular classes and the kids do not seem very friendly.
