Excellent school my kid goes here lots and lots of homework and parents must take their extra time to teach and do homework with their kids at home. This school is excellent for those parents who does not have job and can help their kids from home. This school is one of the best!

I was hessitant to enroll my kids here because of the reviews but they absolutely love it. The teachers are great. The campus is clean. The office staff is great with communication. My son has some special needs & the staff has been great at accomidating him. He also had a lot of problems with bullying at other schools but putting him in sports helped his self esteem to not be such a target or to learn how to brush things off. I dont think parents should blame the school/staff...there are bullies EVERYWHERE & even as adults....it dosent go away. I've never in MY WHOLE LIFE seen a place where all teachers are 100% Mary Poppins. So I don't know how realistic that expectation from a parent is. They fully engage the school in learning about anti-bullying. For my son to say he loves this school BECAUSE he dosen't have to deal with bullying like he used to has helped his focus & excitement to learn every day. Maybe parents with these kinds if problems should look into psychology in social skills & sports. It's what we did & its a better lifelong tool in our kids protecting themselves as teachers can't possibly control each & every action the other troubled little kids bring to the table.

Staff is very rude and disrespectful to parents and also mrs Darby she totally talks the staff rude too! She was yelling at my special needs son, and ask her why she was telling at my son! She got caught and her attitude change once I told her that " she shouldn't be talking to my son like that!" She quickly change her attitude towards my son. She keeps have attitude I'll keep post what her and her staff does wrong in that school. Thanks to Darby and her rude attitude this school is no longer a choice school. Mr miller and Ms miller should have her FIRED! Or maybe all parents should comment on how this lady really is behind the school Scenes! And parents should be more invoked with this school and check out how the staff treats yours and our kids.

My kids have been attending this school since it opened, yeah there is a few staff members that are rude but what can we do arguing or fighting with the staff is not going to make things better it's actually making it worse cause now you have those staff members not liking your kid , as long as my kids are happy and learning is all that matters. I agree though that the school needs more activities & a playground as it was said to the students that attended that school since day 1, there is lots of ways we can make this happen, but I also think that for this to happen we as parents need to be more involved in the school come on parents let's make this happen for our kids! :)

I feel the same way about this school it's in a wonderful neighborhood and a very clean school. But the staff is terrible I had to make a report last year about how unprofessional the staff was. There not here for the children they allowed my daughter to get bullied all year I addressed the staff several times nothing was done the principal had no interest in what I was saying. On the last days of the school year my daughter received a injury by the same student I went to office and they acted as if it was no big deal and my child was a drama queen. I even told them my child was threatened by the bullies older sibling and nothing was done my child did not attend school the last 2 days of school cause she was scared. Staff did nothing. Poor staff but wonderful teachers

I transfered my child to Miller this year due to some issues at our home school. The PTO is supposed to be for the kids, however they only pay for 50% of field trips and the principal determines where the rest of the money the kids earn goes. The kids, which the principal refers to as "little people", do not benefit from the fundraisers they work so hard at. They do not have a playground and have decided not to even try to raise money for one, as it would take too long and the kids/parents that start the project would not be there anymore to enjoy it. Now, as to the main reason I am writing this....The principal does not seem to care what is best for our children. My child was "chosen" to be put in a combo class, which has been done before and hurt my childs grades. When the principal finally returned my call she had no interest in my feelings or concerns and especially not the well being or effect this would have on my child. The principal was very rude, would not let me talk, when I did finally get a few words in she would interupt me. When I told her that I have rights as a parent her response was "you have the right to choose a different school" What kind of role model is that?

This could be a good school if they got a new principal, one who actually cares about the future of our kids.

It is a new school but it lacks a kids play area. The only one they have is for the kindergarden class. So, my first grader feels intimidated to try handball or tetherball because he would be playing against the older kids. Also, there are doors missing in one of the girls bathroom and I also agree the school needs a better drop off and pick up system! The school my kids use to go to did not have such crowded classrooms. Sometimes this school has to combine different grades in the same classroom. Hoping it gets better!

My daughter attended Miller Elementary for the 1st grade and she loved it. They have great teachers and staff who are very caring and she learned so much, she had fun doing projects and going on the field trips also. The only problem I encountered was the set up they have during drop off and pick up, it causes a lot of traffic problems, and they have not created a year book yet since it's a newer school.. maybe next year! overall this school is excellent!
