Highly recommend Brill Elementary school. The staff and teachers care and do a great job. They keep parents informed and teach the students better than I have ever seen any other school.

This is my son’s second year at Brill. He is thriving and there is tons of support. PTO excellent in adding value to school.

My sons have both been very happy at Brill. My oldest son is ADHD and we had a lot of trouble at our last school. Brill has been a wonderful learning environment for him. He's got straight As, good test scores and hates to miss a day.

I have gone from loving this school over the past two years to hating it over night. If I could give it a one star I would. After a month of school my child was moved to a new class because of overcrowding. While I understand that part. What I don't understand is how as parents we were given no notice. My child came home on Thursday with a note and the change was made the next day. My child went from being in a class that he loved to one he would rather not be in. He went from 3 experienced teachers to one teacher that has never taught. Mr. Luedecker will tell you all the faith that he has in this teacher. However, the bottom line is that we now have a first year teacher and have never even met her. If for some reason things are not great and my child's education suffers it won't be their problem since he is a fifth grader. I expected better from Brill and Klein ISD.

I want to thank Mrs. Johnson-K for patiently working with my daughter and helping her along the way and not giving up or letting her give up. Your a great teacher and your appreciated. Thank you.

We moved here January 2014, not knowing the area at all. Izzie had gone to a private Catholic school since pre-school and we were hesitant about moving to the public school system. But we have found the same small family feel, and awesome loving environment with Brill that we loved so much in private school. I have a girl finishing up second grade and will be sending my son to kindergarten there in the fall.

Brill has been a wonderful school for my child who entered Kindergarten this year. It's a friendly, positive enviornment and my child is being challenged by the teachers. It's great!

My child loves the clubs and activities that the school has to offer. This principal has made a lot of positive changes. On the down side, there is a core group of parents that seem to run the school and I don't think the caliber of work is as high as it should be. My child brings home far too many worksheets completed in class. I wish there were more hands-on, product-based activities that would increase the rigor of what is being taught. Right now my child does well in class. Yet I worry whether they will be ready for middle school.

My kids love the school and the positive environment. Things have really changed around the school, like having clubs and the believe and achieve program. When I visit the school, everyone is very friendly. I am happy the academic ratings of the school continue to improve. Overall, my kids truly enjoy themselves and are doing well at school!

Had a horrible experience with the administration. My son started Pre-K, when they took English exam the teacher said he barely made it for ESL so he got into Pre-K. After 2 months in school since the administration got the funding per child from ISD. They decided that he doesn't need to be in the class since he is FLUENT in english now. My 4 year old is asking me now why he can't go to his elementary school. I have no answer for him which could explain him that "The school wanted the grants and funding not the child".

My son had a wonderful year in Kindergarten at Brill last year. His teacher was really terrific... ton of teaching experience and a caring heart for the kids. My son loved her so much, he was concerned first grade would not be able to compare! So far, first grade has been a great experience as well. Brill has only enhanced his love of learning new things, whether it is now a desire to read or create a new science experiment on his own. The school encourages parent involvement and volunteering, and I have always been welcomed at the school.

I think the new principal is wonderful! This past year was her first full year there and she implemented some wonderful changes. The principal that retired midway through last year had stayed too long. The new principal has fresh ideas and is much more in tune with the current times we live in which has created a completely different atmosphere. All but one of the negative reviews on here are from when the previous principal was in position. If you ask the teachers and parents both everyone has been very happy with the change. My son looks forward to going to school every single day. I have also been treated very kindly when I go up to volunteer. I'm a working mom so I'm not involved in the PTO but always help when I can.

My son thrived at the school both socially and academically in his first year. His Kindergarten teacher was amazing... experienced, caring, and inspiring. Brill is a GREAT school, setting a great foundation of learning and achieving.

The new principal is horrible, out of touch and more worried about cya than doing what is right for children. My daughter attended kindegarten at this school last year and did not have a good fit with her teacher. We requested on several occasions for her to change teachers and were shut down immediately by the principal. Sadly, our daughter now hates school and begs not to go back. Very few of the families from the neighborhood surrounding the school send their children there anymore. We were warned and I regret that we didn't listen. Our daughter will attend a private school going forward. Also, her kindegarten class consisted of bookshelves for walls (open at the top) right by the library, so no noise allowed, no learning centers, and very cluttered, disorganized classroom. Sounds like a fun learning enviroment. No wonder our daughter did not want to go there.

The Principle is the problem at Brill. She needs to retire! I had two three children that went through Brill, two are in the upper grades and my third, I took out and had to put in private school. Which we discovered Brill was very behind academically. I also rate this school a 0!

My kids began their second year at Brill this week and we feel that the school is exemplary!! Both of my kids moved from a small private school to Brill last year and their transition was flawless. Considering the size of the school I was impressed that Brill feels like a small community. Both of my children were met in their classrooms with teachers who truly love to teach and both were given extra attention when it was needed. It saddens me that some people have had negative experiences at Brill because we find it to be a stunning elementary school and we feel blessed that our children are receiving such a fabulous, student-centered education in a public school. I am also happy that my children attend a school with so much student diversity. My children are meeting and beginning lasting friendships with students that have a different religious background or cultural background than they do, and I love that this has reinforced what we are teaching at home everyone is different but we should celebrate and enjoy those differences!

Horible never go there. Really bad, no good education, some of the staff are mean and kids. I give this school a zero.
